CHELSEA'S POV When Marcus had pulled me closer my heart started pounding in my chest I felt like I was going to explode. He cupped one of my cheeks gently when he leaned closer I closed my eyes shut. I knew he was going to do it. Marcus was going to kiss me. When I felt his lips on mine butterflies in my tummy began dancing in the pit of my stomach. I felt sparks. His grip around my waist got tighter as he urged me to kiss him back. I calmed myself down and kissed him back with everything I had in me. I can't believe that I'm having my first kiss with Marcus. He pulled back with a shaky exhale and the warm feeling inside me craved more of his touch. I frowned at him. "Marcus….why did you stop?" I muttered coolly while pouting my lips. He chuckled lightly and traced his thumb over my bottom lip. "Trust me Chelsea I didn't want to stop either but this is our only limit we can't go further." I rolled my eyes. " I want to teach you many things Chelsea…"he rasps trailing his hand up my thigh and I swear I stop breathing for a sound. When I think he's about to go further he stops and kisses my hand. His grey eyes meet me. "Let's go." I blinked twice. And gaped at him. I closed my mouth and just frowned. He was playing mind games with me. I nodded quietly and stood up. I'm mentally frustrated and when I glanced back at Marcus he seemed all relaxed and cool. I'm sure he must be pretending like our kiss didn't make him feel anything but I know even if he won't admit. "Marcus can I ask you something personal?" He gave me a puzzled look and nodded. I bit my lower bottom nervously. "Have you ever kissed a girl before in the past?" He c****d a brow at me cautiously. " Chelsea, are you jealous? He asked in amusement and I quickly shook my head negatively. "No I'm not" I defended. He chuckled lightly. "Okay let me answer your question." I sighed with relief that he didn't press the subject about me being jealous. "You're the first girl I've ever kissed Chelsea Evans" he says quietly and hides his smile. I grinned happily when our eyes met I blushed and he entwined our hands together. I stared at her entwined hands. It felt intimate and special. By the time we were arriving at my house the car had already arrived. Dad's gaze lingered on our entwined hands, his mouth turned into a thin line. Before he could storm towards us mom stopped him and shook her head. This was it. Marcus cupped both of my cheeks slowly and our eyes met intensely. "Take care of yourself Chelsea." I nodded tearfully. His lips lingered on mine one last time and I shuddered against him. I kissed him back passionately. He pulled back slowly and wiped the tears that were rolling down my cheeks. Our foreheads pressed together. "I-I love you Chelsea..." He says quietly and looks into my eyes. I wrapped my arms around him. "I love you too Marcus..." I sobbed. He released me and his gaze lingered on my dad. "You better go back before he shoots me on sight he looks pissed" he says coolly and I giggle. " Yeah." I spared one last glance at him and made my way towards my parents mom hugged me tightly and dad frowned as I got into the car. I waved at Marcus when the car's engine began roaring; he waved as the car slowly drove away. I slumped in my seat miserably. Dad was the one driving me to the airport. I didn't want to have a conversation with him so I plugged in my earphones and began listening to music. I would miss Marcus so much. Uh Yeah, yeah When I was young, I fell in love We used to hold hands, man, that was enough (yeah) Then we grew up, started to touch Used to kiss underneath the light on the back of the bus (yeah) Oh no, your daddy didn't like me much And he didn't believe me when I said you were the one Oh, every day she found a way out of the window to sneak out late She used to meet me on the Eastside In the city where the sun don't set And every day you know that we ride Through the backstreets of a blue Corvette Baby, you know I just wanna leave tonight We can go anywhere we want Drive down to the coast, jump in the seat Just take my hand and come with me, yeah We can do anything if we put our minds to it Take your whole life then you put a line through it My love is yours if you're willing to take it Give me your heart 'cause I ain't gonna break it So come away, starting today Start a new life, together in a different place We know that love is how these ideas came to be So baby, run away, away with me Seventeen and we got a dream to have a family A house and everything in between And then, oh, suddenly we turned twenty-three Now we got pressure for taking our life more seriously We got our dead-end jobs and got bills to pay Have old friends and know our enemies Now I, I'm thinking back to when I was young Back to the day when I was falling in love He used to meet me on the Eastside In the city where the sun don't set And every day you know where we ride Through the backstreets in a blue Corvette And baby, you know I just wanna leave tonight We can go anywhere we want Drive down to the coast, jump in the seat Just take my hand and come with me Singing We can do anything if we put our minds to it Take your whole life then you put a line through it My love is yours if you're willing to take it Give me your heart 'cause I ain't gonna break it So come away, starting today Start a new life, together in a different place We know that love is how these ideas came to be So baby, run away with me Run away, now Run away, now Run away, now Run away, now Run away, now Run away, now He used to meet me on the Eastside She used to meet me on the Eastside He used to meet me on the Eastside She used to meet me on the Eastside In the city where the sun don't set A tear rolled down my cheek when the song came to an end. He loved me. I kept replaying the moment over and over in my head. Dad narrowed his eyes at me in the corner and took the wrong road. My eyes widened in shock. "Dad that's not the way to the airport you're going the wrong way" I muttered in a panicked voice but he remained silent. "Keep quiet Chelsea I warned you to stay away from that rebel" he said harshly and more tears rolled down my cheeks. "I just don't want you to end up like Kelsey." I sniffled softly. MARCUS'S POV Watching her go was the hardest thing I'd ever done. She hugged me goodbye and I watched her walk out of my life just like that. I would miss her. Things between us had crossed all boundaries of friendship and I was more than happy to have her as my girlfriend. I loved Chelsea. And I know that she felt the same way as well.
