*Jessica's POV*
I woke up the next morning with a terrible headache, I looked around me and realized where I was. I tried to get up, but I was held back by something.
I looked beside me and saw the stranger from yesterday beside me. I gasped and removed his arms slowly from my waist.
I remembered what we did yesterday, and I cursed inwardly. I wore my clothes and grabbed my purse. I ran out of the door without giving the stranger on the bed a second glance.
I ran outside and stopped a taxi, ignoring the judging looks I got from people. The driver dropped me off at my house and I remembered my car.
"f*****g stupid girl" I said to myself and entered the taxi again. He took me back to the club and I drove my car home.
I switched on my phone, only to realized that I had fifty missed calls and seventy messages from George. I blocked his number and got into the shower.
After my bath, I got ready for work. I was about to leave when my stomach grumbled loudly. I fixed up a quick sandwich to eat on my way.
I got to work really late and barely made it to the impromptu meeting.
"What is this meeting about?" I whispered to the girl sitting beside me.
"The new CEO wants to see us" she replied like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
After waiting for a few minutes, The CEO finally entered and all the color drained from my face. My eyes widen In shock.
"You okay?" The girl beside me asked
"That's our new CEO?" I questioned
"Yeah, he's so hot right?"
I couldn't reply, instead I forced a smile. The new CEO is the stranger from last night. I bent my head slightly to avoid making eye contact with him but that only drew his attention to me.
"Who's that?" He asked, his rich deep voice echoing in the room.
"Hello sir, welcome." I said with a smile. He seemed to recognize me too, our eyes met and I saw recognition in his eyes.
"I look forward to working with all of you." He said but fixed his eyes on me.
"That would be all, you can go now." He continued. I stood up to leave but he stopped me.
"Not you. I want to see you." Everyone else left and we were alone in the meeting room.
"What's your name?" He asked
"Jessica Cole, sir" I replied
"Jessica..." He said it like he was testing the name on his tongue.
"What department are you in, Jessica?" He walked towards me and sat on the chair in front of me.
"PR" I answered
"You look good in a corporate outfit but I think I prefer seeing you in a skimpy dress." He said in a low tone.
"I ... I don't know what you're talking about sir" I stuttered.
"Do you remember me, Jessica?" He asked.
"I'm sorry but I don't...." He stood up and moved closer to me, making sure our knee touched.
"How about now?"
"Sir, I think you're mistaken"
"No, I think you're lying, Jessica. You don't have to lie, are you scared I'll fire you?" He asked.
"I have a lot of work to do sir, please excuse me." I stood up and was about to walk away, but he pulled me back. I fell on his lap, and I gasped.
"I'm sorry sir" I apologized and tried to stand up, but he pulled me closer.
"Remember this?" He asked, and I nodded, unable to say anything. He smiled and let me go, I quickly stood up from his lap.
"Good. Like you said, there's a lot of work to be done. I have to go, I'll see you around Jessica." He said and walked out of the meeting room, leaving me alone with my thoughts.
What have I gotten myself into? Life works in mysterious ways, who would have thought that the stranger I slept with would be my new boss. I blame George for this. If I ever get fired, I'll burn his car.
I walked to my office and dived straight into work. It was the perfect distraction from the crisis happening in my life right now.
I checked my email, and I realized I had over twenty unread emails from George, I deleted everything without opening it and continued working.
"Girl," Sarah said, she is the only one I'm close to at work. Other people are just workmates.
"No, whatever it is, no." I replied without asking what she wanted. It's probably something about drinking or clubbing.
"You didn't even let me finish," she said
"I know you, Sarah. I don't need to let you finish."
"But, Dj grimes is going to be there. You can bring your boyfriend and I'll bring mine. It'll be really nice." She whined
"I'm not with George anymore."
"What happened?" She asked
"It's a long story, I'll tell you over lunch." I replied.
"Miss Cole, Mr Drews would like to see you in his office." A lady said, disrupting our conversation.
"Ouu, someone's in trouble." Sarah said.
"Oh, you don't know how true that is." I sighed and followed the lady to the boss's office.
"You can go in. He's expecting you." She said and went back to her seat.
I opened the door and walked in. Seeing him on his seat, looking all mighty and dangerous, made my heart beat faster.
"Jessica, welcome. Have your seat." He said.
"You asked to see me sir," I said as I sat down.
"Yes, I did. Tell me, is that your favourite club?" He asked
"What?" I exclaimed.
"The club you went to yesterday."
"Oh, I don't normally visit clubs. I prefer to stay at home. Yesterday was a mistake." I replied
"Well, I wouldn't say that."
"What do you mean, sir?"
"I had a wonderful time last night, and I want it again." He said
"I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean, sir."
"I want to have s*x with you again." He replied like it was the most natural thing on earth.
