I opened the door, unaware of the fate awaiting me. Cazandra's warm smile masked her true intentions.
"Welcome, Yuri. Let's transform you into my sister, Monica."
"A needle pierced my skin, and darkness enveloped me."
I awoke at 8 p.m., bandaged and alone in a clinic bed. Three knocks later, Cazandra entered.
"Time to eat," she said, offering bananas and milk.
"Bananas and milk for dinner?" I asked, incredulous.
Cazandra snapped, "You're fortunate to have anything."
"When will the bandages come off?" I asked.
"Tomorrow," she replied curtly, exiting.
Two days later, Cazandra returned, her expression cold.
"Time to reveal your new face."
"As the bandages fell, excitement mixed with trepidation." A mirror revealed Monica's reflection staring back.
"I-I'm...Monica?" I stuttered.
Cazandra's eyes narrowed. "From now on, you're Monica. Remember, Yuri, if anyone discovers our secret, you'll end up six feet under. Do you understand?"
I trembled, nodding. "Okay."
Cazandra handed me a bag. "Wear these. Monica's style will complete your transformation."
"Don't reveal your face outside," she warned, her eyes scanning the paparazzi-infested streets.
I veiled my face, following Cazandra into her waiting car, entwining my fate with Monica's.
We arrived at Keston's grand mansion. The gate swung open as the guard recognized the car's license plate.
"Let's go, Monica. The show begins soon," Cazandra said with a smirk.
(Yuri as Monica's POV)
Patrick rushed into my arms. "Mommy, you're home!"
"Don't leave me again!" he pleaded, pouting.
"I won't, sweetie. I'm here to stay," I reassured him.
"No work?" he asked.
"I'll stay until you're grown," I said, laughing.
Patrick's eyes sparkled. "I don't want to grow up! I want you here."
"Go Watch TV, naughty boy. Mommy's making snacks." I said sweetly.
Patrick tilted his head. "Mommy, you're strange. You've changed."
My heart skipped a beat.
"Maybe I just look prettier today," I said nervously.
"Yeah, maybe," Patrick replied, walking away.
Just then, Cazandra shouted from her car, "Monica, I must leave! My assistant needs me."
"Goodbye, sister. Drive safely," I said.
