Chapter 11

1959 Words

POV: Declan. After we were marked, we spent the rest of the day and most of the night essentially on one long, continuous date. We were so caught up in each other, talking about every random thing that came to mind to bridge the gap of seven centuries, that we didn't even notice when the sun dipped below the horizon. Once it turned dark, we curled up together to watch a few movies, though they mostly served as background noise for the make-out sessions that erupted every few minutes. Around two in the morning, we finally decided to try and get some sleep. We wanted to be somewhat rested since we were planning to show Viola our offices in the morning. With our mate nestled between us, sleep came effortlessly. Before I knew it, I was dead to the world, lost in a dreamless, peaceful haze.
