"What is this woman saying now?" Julian was asking himself angrily
"Why would she think I would just like a lady because she helped her on the road? Who does that?" He added
"Hello here," Aria shouted excitedly
"Hello, Aria," responded Mrs. Craig happily, although she doesn't know why she was excited.
Aria hugged Mrs Craig excitedly
"Mrs. Carrington said she would help me with getting job," she said excitedly
"Wow! congratulations dear," Mrs Craig said
"I'm so happy for you, dear" she added
"Thank you ma," Aria replied
"So, when are you starting the job?" Mrs Craig asked
"She said she would call me," Aria replied
Julian was seen walking up and down in his room, confused and angry.
He wasn't angry because he was asked to look for a wife but because of the condition attached to it, which is him not inheriting full control of Carrington's Corporation.
"What will I do?" He asked himself
"I'm not even ready to settle with any woman at the moment," he added
Julian doesn't like women except his mother
He despises them; he prefers to have them in bed than in his home.
He knew his mother wasn't joking with the condition she attached to him inheriting the company.
He was confused, but he knew he had to act fast.
"Let me call Vincent," he said
Vincent Hale is his legal adviser, who has been with him since he started acting as the CEO of the company.
"Hi Vincent," he sounded troubled
"Hi sir," Vincent replied
"There is trouble; my mom told me today that if I didn't marry someone, I would be allowed to become the CEO of the company. What do you think I can do?" Julian asked him
"Wow! That is huge and a lot," Vincent replied
"Well, there is a solution," he added
"What is the solution, please?" Julian asked,
"You will marry her on contract, just contract marriage, just business," Vincent said
"Wow! That is the perfect idea that can work," Julian replied excitedly
"Thank you Vincent," replied Julian
"Yes!!!!" He shouted in his room
He was excited that he has found a solution to his problem
He lay on the bed excitedly.
He remembered he was hungry and rushed downstairs.
"Mum!" Julian called his mum excitedly
"Yes son," replied his mother, looking confused because he doesn't call her that way often
"I will get married to he,r" he said excitedly
"Wow, so soon? What made you change your mind?" She asked
"I just want to do what you want me to do, Mum. Is there anything wrong?" He asked, frowning
"No, nothing my love," the mother said
"Well, the lady needs job too, so, you can help her get a job at the company " she added
"Wow, my plans will work out well" Julian thought in his head
"Julian, are you here?" The mother asked
"Yes, Mum, I'm here with you,about the job; she can start on Monday," he said
"Just inform her about getting ready to resume office on Monday," he added
"Okay son, I will inform her before the end of the day. let's eat first." Mrs Carrington said
They headed to the dining room to eat their dinner.
Eating food in the Carrington's house is always top-notch.
They eat balanced diets every day prepared by a team of chefs.
After eating, Julian chatted with his mom about the company's affairs and the necessary things that she needs to know about the activities going on in the company.
"Mum, I need to retire to my bed now" Julian told his mum
"Yes, son, I also need to go to bed now," his mom said.
He pushed his mum to her room with her wheelchair
"Goodnight, Mum." They hugged each other.
"Good night my son," she replied
They both retired to their rooms
The next morning, they woke up and said words of prayers separately.
Julian was already prepared to go to work in the morning
He took his breakfast of oatmeal prepared by one of the chefs
"Good morning sir," one of the chefs greeted
"Morning," without looking at the chef
He ate his food silently and headed out after eating
"Good morning sir," his driver greeted him
"Good morning," he replied
"Let's go, please," , he added
"Okay, sir," the driver replied
He opened the door for Julian to enter the Prado jeep.
They drove silently to the office without discussing anything on the way
Julian is a disciplined man when it comes to work but doesn't have great relationships with his workers, but they don't have a choice but to work with him.
At 10:00 AM, Mrs. Carrington was seen awake, and she greeted all her domestic workers.
"Lest I forget, I need to call Aria; please, where is my phone?" She asked
One of the maid handed her the phone and she called Aria
After ringing for some minutes
"Hello ma," Aria answered
"Good morning, Aria," Mrs Carrington replied
"I have discussed with my son and he said you can start working on Monday," Mrs Carrington said
"Wow! Thank you, ma, I really appreciate your help ma," she shouted excitedly
"It is my pleasure, dear," Mrs Carrington replied
"When you get to the office on Monday, you will know the next thing to do," Mrs Carrington added
"Okay, ma, thank you ma," Aria replied excitedly
"Thank you for yesterday, Vincent," Julian hugged him
"My pleasure boss," Vincent replied
"I'm sure my mum would want her to start working as soon as possible so we can propose our own offer," Julian said cunningly.
"Mrs Craig, I have been offered the job and I'm resuming on Monday." Aria shouted,
"God is good!!" Mrs Craig shouted and they both saw running round the house
Lila was looking at them, but she was confused.
"Congratulations, Aria, I'm so happy for you." Mrs Craig shouted and hugged her
On Monday, Aria woke up early due to excitement.
She said her prayers, took her bath, and wore nice corporate wear.
She headed to the kitchen because she heard footsteps from the direction and she went there
"Good morning ma," she greeted her
"Good morning darling, you look stunning and I wish you a great start in your workplace, my darling," Mrs Craig said joyfully
"Thank you ma," Aria replied
"I'm already going ma," she added
"God will be with you," Mrs Craig prayed
She headed out and waited for the cab that was passing
"Hi, I'm going to Carrington's group of company " she told the Cab driver
"Okay, that is $10," the driver replied
"Okay, she entered, and he drove her to her destination
"Thank you," she told the driver as she alighted from the cab
She stood at the front of the company, excited
"I'm here now, and I will excel," Aria said to herself.
She entered the company and went to the reception
"Hi, I'm Aria Mason. I was told to start working today by Mrs Estelle Carrington," she told the receptionist
"Wow! You are welcome," the receptionist answered her
She knows she must attend to her on time because she is from the CEO herself.
"She is so lucky to be directly from the CEO," the receptionist thought in her head after stealing glances at her
"Move to the left room on the hallway, and you will be directed to the CEO's office. Welcome to our company once again, Miss...." The receptionist said
"Miss Aria, thank you," she helped the receptionist complete the name and appreciated her.
Aria was directed to the CEO's office by one of the staff of the company.
"That's his office," said the staff
"Thank you," she appreciated
She rang the doorbell on the door labelled with, "CEO."
Her heart was beating fast and she became tense
She gathered the courage to knock on the door and she did
"Come on in" from the CEO's office
She became more tense but summoned courage to open the door.
"Good morning sir," she greeted him anxiously
"Morning, and how can I help you?" Asked Julian
As he looked up to see who just greeted him, his face lit up, and he was wowed by the beautiful lady before him. Their eyes met, and a grin passed between them.
"Hi, sir, Mrs Carrington said I should come and start working here today," she said after stealing glances at each other
"Oh! You are the lady!" He said, acting as if he hadn't met her before when she was in their estate.
"Yes, sir, I'm Aria Mason," she said
"What is your discipline?" Julian asked,
"Fine and applied Art, sir," she replied
"Okay, what are your job experiences?" Julian asked
"I have been drawing right from childhood, and I have participated in some art exhibits like the City Art Exhibit and the Royal Art Museum exhibition."
"Great," he said with a lack of interest and enthusiasm.
"That is nice; I will direct you to the HR for formality but before then, I have an offer for you, and that would guarantee you getting the job you are here for." Julian said
There was a loud silence in the room when he said that
"What offer, sir?" She asked,
