Aria’s POV
My phone rang. “Mom?” I answered while I was in bed cuddling with Grayson.
“The portal splicer isn’t working, I’m ready to come back,” Mom said.
“Oh, where are you?” I asked with my head against Grayson’s bare muscular chest. “Did something happen to it or is it out of juice?”
I sat up and tried to lift myself out of the bed but Grayson wrapped himself around my waist.
“It’s gonna sound weird but a dog used it as a chewing toy so it’s broken,” Mom explained. “I’m at my house but I guess you wouldn’t really know where that is.” Dad would. “I can send you the address if that helps, I’m not sure.”
