VICTOR RAGU WAS A BIG talker. He didn’t seem to care that Donny Mancini was around. In fact, he usually didn’t even acknowledge he was there unless he wanted something. Tonight he was talking about a meeting with the deputy mayor.
“-Yeah, so he called, and asked to meet me at Santeros tonight,” Ragu said.
Rocco Albano was leaning back in the booth. “Do you know what Romano wants?”
“No, Jimmy didn't say. I think it's about the union, that's what he mentioned, so I figure it's about that,” Ragu said.
“Interesting,” Pat Zambini added.
“Sure. The deputy mayor is a special guy,” Albano said.
Donny thought it might be worth mentioning to FBI agent Ross Brancasi. He pulled out his phone and sent a text to Brancasi with some details. He wondered where Deputy Mayor Angelo Romano f
