CHAPTER FIVE Cat woke abruptly, disoriented when she sat up to find herself in a cozy little room that had lacy sunflower curtains and doilies on the small bookshelves beneath the large window. She looked down at her bed, noting the floral pattern on the duvet before flipping the covers off and placing her feet on a braided rag rug beside the bed. Her things were still placed haphazardly on the suitcase rack where she'd thrown them the night before. She carefully grabbed a change of clothing out of her suitcase, trying to avoid spilling everything on the floor.
