“Violet? Something the matter?” Aunt Christa’s voice woke me from a trance I had been in.
“Huh? Oh, uhm nothing,” We were in the middle of one of our daily morning tutoring lessons. Since I had no schooling, she took over that department with lessons in subjects such as maths, English, Latin, literature and history. It was only the basics that were required.
