VIOLET My eyesopened to reveal I was in a strange place. It looked like an apartment ofsorts, a small living room, bedroom and kitchen all rolled into one. The onewall at the side was one huge window, nearly fully covered by curtains. A smallray of light shone right in front of my bare feet. I watched again in awe as Imoved my foot to the light and my skin didn’t burn or boil or contort inreaction to the sun. I was immuneto the sun. “Ahh, finally awake eh?” I heard Lucy say from behind me, but when I tried to turn I noticed I was tied to a chair.
