Not wanting the whole atmosphere to become cringy, she acted like she didn’t hear what he’d said.
“I know you heard what i said but it’s not what you think” he said and she stared at him.

“I don’t love you as a person, I love you as a chef” he said and for some reason, his words hurt her but she decided to play cool.
“That’s what I was thinking “ she said and they both chuckled
