Chapter Four (4)

It's time for the meeting. The Product Manager, Secretary and Personal Assistant was waiting for their CEO at the Balcony that leads to his hotel room. Minutes later Prince Robin came out well kitted in his Black suit holding a briefcase that contains some documents that will be needed at the meeting. Richard, his personal assistant, rushed to get his bag from him but he wasn't wearing a friendly look.

Good Morning Sir, They echoed.

Morning! He answered shabbily.

Leah felt shy as she remembered what transpired between she and her Boss. She couldn't raise up head to behold his face.

They all went inside a car waiting to take them to Salvador trade centre, the venue of the schedule meeting. Prince Robin never say a word to anybody while inside the car.

They arrived the venue and being one of the dignitaries, Prince Robin was ushered to the High table where other dignitaries was well seated. His team members sat among the congregation.

Leah sat directly opposite his boss, she gripped her pen and her diary to note important points of the events, specifically to document all that will be said by her Boss.

Prince Robin eyes remain fixated on Leah, he reminisce about what she did to her yesterday.

No lady has ever turn down my advances, That i***t rejected my golden offer. The offer of a Multi billionaire like me. Do she thinks she merit the position I handed over to her? Many ladies out there would have done beyond my demand and made me feel like a baby yesterday. But it was all my fault, I offered her a price before a task that was why she had the effrontery to deprive me of her body. He introspect and hissed unconsciously.

Everyone in the gathering look towards his direction, at that point he become conscious and quickly adjust himself to listen attentively in the meeting while he takes eyes off Leah, to avoid being further pained.

Why do you think Boss will just hissed randomly without a reason that warrant it. Product manager whispered into the ear of Richard, who was rightly seated next to him.

I guess he was lost in thought. Probably he remembered a past occurrence that upset him. Also, if you were observant enough, you will discover he was wearing unfriendly look this morning, despite running towards him to assist with his briefcase, he gave me a cold response.

I noticed that also, but I never gave so much attention. Probably, something is bothering him. The manager responded.

Oh! You might be right, because he called me in the middle of the night to reach out to Leah, definitely, something is bothering him. Richard agreed with what the manager said.

The meeting was later brought to an end the third day and they flew back to Canada. while onboard, Prince Robin asked his secretary

Hey! Do you documents all details of the just concluded meeting?

Yes sir, I did! Leah responded.

Its better you do proper cross check of your work, because you will be penalised, if I discover the documentation isn't detailed. Prince said with a harsh voice.

Leah wasn't comfortable where she sat, she was engulfed in fear, despite investing her time to give the best. She lost confidence because of her boss's attitude towards her in recent times.

The following day at work, she brought out all the drafted minutes in previous meetings and began to proofread in order to dot her I’s and cross the T’s before Prince Robin will eventually ask for it. She identify misspelt words and grammatical errors. While doing that she got a mail directly from Prince Robin, that stated thus;

Dear Leah,

I need details of my engagements at the just concluded meeting at Salvador before 8am tomorrow. I want the Document in a Microsoft word format and ensure proper spacing of character and eligibility.

Regards.

After reading the mail, adrenaline was released into her system, fear further grip her heart. Fortunately for her, she remembered recording all the conversations that ensued during the meeting. She quickly picks up her phone and plays the audio recording, with a headset fixed to her ear to listen carefully to ensure all what she initially wrote down was in accordance with it.

That really helped, because she was able to add some conversations she previously omitted.

This took a lot of time and she closed very late just to ensure she met up with the deadline.

When she arrived home, mother could notice her furrowed brow, widened eyes and withdrawn posture. Her facial expression also conveys anxiety. She knows all isn’t well with her daughter.

You're welcome daughter, good to see you after several hours apart. Mother said, trying to draw her close.

Thank you Mum. She replied with lack of enthusiasm.

Why do you look so lacking in energy, are you fine? Mother asked.

Sighed! Nothing much Mum, my day was just hectic. I will be fine after I've had enough rest. She replied to her mum.

If that's the case, go into your room and freshen up, I will serve your dinner before you're done doing that. Mother said, while she patted her back.

The following day, Leah resumed very early in order to meet up with her Boss directive, she log on to her PC and sent the mail to her Boss at exactly 7:25am.

Prince Robin had other engagements with investors via Zoom, he woke up very early to join the meeting that started at 7am and is scheduled to last for two hours. He resumed office r) lat 9:30 am after the staff had concluded their meeting. Leah rushed to say hi to him but he looked at her with a downturned mouth and furrowed brows.

Morning!

Have you done the needful? He queried

Yes sir! Leah replied

Now go back to your duty post! He instructed.

Leah went back to her seat unhappy with Prince Robin's response to her. She placed her head on the desk and sobbed for a moment.

Prince Robin logged on his Desktop and the mail he requested for was the first notification that popped up at the right corner of his screen. He nodded his head and dragged the mouse to the mail, he left click on it and all the document opened.

He began to read carefully, checking the grammars, spelling, punctuations and spellings. Her writing skills beat his imaginations.

Could this girl write this excellent? Or did someone else assisted her in putting this together? Prince seek answers to reconcile the unexpected, with his preconceived notions.

The icing on the cake is that, apart from her flawless writings, she was able to capture the whole scenarios without mincing words. How else will I nail this lady to do my bidding? I need to have a taste of her body as soon as possible. She further win my heart with this. He introspect while engaging in a meditative wander within the confines of his office.

Well! The bulk still lies with me. I’m her Boss, I pay her salary, I own the right to fire her and the company she works belongs to me. So it's either she do my bidding or I show her the exit door. He introspect and chuckles, while he sip his wine.

Richard! Richard!! He called his Personal Assistant

Sir! Richard rushed in to answer his boss.

I will be out of here in an hours time, inform the secretary that I want to see her in my house towards close of business. Relay my message to her after, I take my leave. He instructed.

Noted sir! He replied his Boss.
