KEENAN’S POV I woke up to the chaotic buzz of my phone. Ellie’s arm wrapped tightly around my body, still fast asleep. I didn’t want to disturb her sleep; after the night we just had, she obviously needed her rest. I swiftly snuck out of bed, careful enough to disrupt her sleep, grabbed my phone from the nightstand where I had placed it, and headed out of the bedroom into the bathroom. “That’s strange.” I muttered under my breath, seeing the series of emails I had received from work.
