Chapter 27 The package arrived on a Thursday. Eliana brought it out to the garden. She carried the plain cardboard box in both hands. She had a look on her face that was not quite suspicion, but close. “This came for you,” Eliana said. She held it out. “Addressed to Ziva Moore, care of St. Brigid’s. No return address.” Ziva’s heart jumped. She wiped her soil-stained hands on her jeans. She took the box. It was not heavy, but it was solid. It felt important. “Thank you,” Ziva said, her voice quiet. Eliana watched her for another second. She did not ask any questions. She simply nodded and went back to pruning the hydrangeas.
