Kinru POV
“Tea?”...
I was relieved that our meeting had gone well and grateful that she had accepted my request to stay. I thought this would have been more difficult, all the rumours of her being this monster and a threat to man. She was just a girl?! But f**k me! She was beautiful, no where near what I’d call a monster, her voice was soft but definitely had some attitude in there. Her Aura was strong too, blue like Ice Crystals. It turned to black like my own, I knew she was suppressing most of it when our Auras connected earlier.
I had to hide my excitement.. Meeting another Demon who looked like that had my heart and blood racing more than ever. I somehow managed to keep a level head but couldn’t help but admire her still, usually girls fall for my charm no matter how I act. But this one was different, my Demon tricks wouldn’t work on her and I didn’t dare attempt it in case she noticed.
Before I knew it she jumped from the wall, falling to the buildings below fast. I smirked realising she was trying to check me out, her confidence made me want to see what she could do too. I quickly follow, taking the same leap. We both land safely at the top of some buildings, I had broken a couple of tiles off the roof I had landed on. When I checked on her she hadn’t broken a single one. She had better control than I did, maybe I shouldn’t underestimated her.
“I’ll fix that!” I laughed.
“You will” she answered with a grin on her face.
She again took off running along the rooftops, my eyes were locked on her and I began my chase. I couldn’t contain my excitement anymore, what was wrong with me? I’ve only just met her! I couldn’t shake this feeling of attraction, it was like I was meant to find her.
She had good speed and agility, leaping from each rooftop flawlessly. Better up my game.. I use some of my Demon Energy and increase my speed greatly, my eyes still locked on her as I chase her down.
The gap was closing and I saw her look back!
This was it! My opportunity..!
I force another sudden burst of speed and my energy increased rapidly. I could see her eyes lose track of me as I overtake her. I came to a sudden stop and allowed her to run right into me, causing us both to lose our footing. Wrapping my arms around her I break our fall and we hit the ground hard.
“Are you ok?” I asked. Acting as if I hadn’t caused it.
She was practically on top of me, her head buried in my chest. It took a lot to control myself at this point. I already had her in my arms, I wanted to feel more of her. I’m about to lose control but she lifts her head and gives me a harsh look.
“I’m fine... But I know you did that deliberately.. Cheat!” she said.
She got up quickly and brushed the dirt from her dress.
“I haven’t had fun like that in a long time” I couldn’t help but laugh as I got back up.
She turned towards me with the cutest smile I’d ever seen and said;
“Me too!”.
We weren’t far from the castle, so we decided to walk the rest of the way. The walk cooled me off a little, it was a good thing. I didn’t want to over step my boundaries with her, but I couldn’t help it! Everything about her just seemed perfect!
We get to a large archway made of stone, the entry way to the Castle Grounds. It was definitely fit for a King, this entire Kingdom was just as large as the Capital. But I still haven’t seen a single person, has she been alone here this entire time?
I follow her to the doors of the castle, Hard Wood and some sort of metal I wasn’t familiar with blocked our way. She raised her hand and the doors pushed open like they weighed nothing, she walked inside and I continue to follow her into the Entrance Hall. The space was large with a grand staircase in the middle, and another large set of doors at the top. It looked like it had been abandoned, dust and cobwebs were everywhere. The walls dull, grey and lifeless.
She turned around looking a bit embarrassed;
“I’ve been a deep sleep for centuries, sorry about the mess...” she giggled. “Good time to kick start my power back up!”.
She suddenly raised her hand up in in the air and her Aura changed dramatically, what seemed like black and blue flames burned up all around her. I got some distance between us and watched with caution. Her hand slammed to the ground and the entire castle began to change. Dirt and dust started to disappear, the windows cleared and light filled the halls. Banners with a Winged Woman hang high all around the walls are now bright and clear to see, they catch my eye and I wonder if they are her Sigil. The dismal feeling of the place soon disappeared and instead suddenly felt warm and welcoming, I stare at her and raise an eyebrow.
“Feel better after that?” I say with nerves still in my voice. I could have had a damn heart attack when here Aura changed like that, I thought she was going to do something crazy. She’s definitely one to keep me on my toes.
She nods her head with another cute smile and heads up the stairs like nothing happened, we go past the large doors and make our way to a meeting lounge area. The room was very elegant yet simple at the same time, a desk area was sat in the corner with papers and quills ready for writing. Bookcases filled the wall space and three wide, deep red cushioned seats and a table were in the centre.
“Take a seat if you like” she said.
I head over without hesitation and sit down, my body needed to rest. She left the room but came back shortly after with none other than some tea, she was quite quirky for a Demon, giggled quite a lot, not what I imagined at all. We sat together and engaged in some small talk, I watched her as she poured the tea she had made for us. She did everything so gracefully, I could happily watch over her for the rest of my life. I should be the one waiting on her... She is technically My Queen.
As I get more comfortable, she turns her body on the seat towards mine. I wish she wouldn’t get so close.. It’s harder to resist her when she’s right next to me.
“You must be tired? You can stay anywhere where you like in the Kingdom, all the homes are vacant” she says, her voice breaking the tension I was feeling.
“Thank you”. I was quite disappointed she had not asked me to stay in the Castle along side her, I wanted to serve her now I was her subject and help in any way I could. I bet they won’t be happy about my absence back in the Capital, and I’m unsure if leaving this place is something she would want to do. It’s too early to ask that of her.
I drink the brew she had made me, it was delicious. She had made it sweet, its like she knew I had a sweet tooth. I even poured my self another cup.
“This is great!” I tell her. “I haven’t had anything decent to eat or drink in a while”.
“Thank you” she says. “And take as much food as you like! The land and forest provide plenty”.
I was grateful for her generosity, she had provided more than I could have asked for. I wanted her to know I was hers to command, I’d do anything she asked of me.
“I’d like to be able to assist you in any way I can around here, and I’ll start by repairing that roof I damaged.”
“I appreciate that” she says “I could show you around the Kingdom tomorrow if you feel you’ve rested enough”
“I’d like that” I said leaning towards her.
I could feel my blood getting warmer the more time I spend talking with her, her scent was driving me crazy too. I needed to get some rest soon, I’m more likely to lose control when I’m in this state.
“I’ll retire to a home near by then and allow you some time alone, you were right I too I also need to rest up a little.” I said with slight laughter. “If you by chance need me for anything please don’t hesitate to summon me”
I get up and stand facing towards her, I bow my head in respect and begin to take my leave.
“I hope you sleep well, there are no threats to us here so you should be able to rest easy” she said with confidence as I was about to leave.
I didn’t want to go, but I know I needed some time to cool off, she probably wanted some time to think too. Stopping right next to the door as she spoke I turn my head back to look at her once more.
“Until later My Queen”.
