Chapter 5 Strange Stranger MIA'S POV It was night already, and I had missed my appointment and wished that the guy who came in to cook this morning was around. Then I checked his file and copied out his number. “Hello. This is Mia. You came to my house for a job. Can you come over?” I asked, hoping he would agree to it. “Alright.” I couldn't deny the fact that I was impatient to taste his food again. About thirty minutes later, he showed up. “I could pay you for this night for starting when it's not time to start,” I said as I folded my arms. I wondered why he brought his cross bag again, then I sat on the couch. “So, I'll count on you to cook something I will enjoy.” “Alright, ma'am.” He said and went towards the kitchen. About half an hour, he was done, and he brought the food to my table, and he prepared nice food, that I began to eat, forgetting to dismiss him. He watched as I ate to my fill, and then I looked up at him after I was done. “It was delicious. Thank you for the food.” I complimented and paid him. “Thank you, ma'am.” His eyes were sparkling cute, and his physique was impressive. I wondered why he decided to be a cook, I could see it was his passion. ~ The next day, I got ready for work and went to my company. I was greeted by my employees at the reception. “Ma'am, you have a visitor, and he is waiting for you in your office.” My secretary informed me, looking at me respectfully. “Why is a visitor without an appointment in my office!” I lashed out at him. “What if he is a bad person, and then he holds a knife to my neck in the office, while you aren't around? What do you say to that?” I shouted, feeling frustrated. “I'm sorry, ma'am.” He apologized, fidgeting. “Do what is necessary. Get him out of my office.” I said as I walked towards my office. When I got to the office, I saw the man coming out as my secretary was ushering him out already. He was tall and had dark hair, with a mysterious aura around him. “Hey. Don't you think you would like to know who I am?” He asked as he smirked. “Mister, it is rude of you to talk to someone you barely know,” I said, keeping a straight face. “You are funny. Don't you get the hint? Alright then, how did you feel when you watched the news?” He asked as he laughed hysterically. The shock was clearly visible in my facial expression as I wondered if this was the man who sent me that text and how did he know about my syndrome? ~ I got home angry and met my new cook in the sitting room, watching TV. “What the hell are you doing?” I sounded stern as I dropped my bag on the couch. “Uhm… You weren't home when I came, and your butler told me that I could make myself feel at home. Moreover, I didn't know which room was going to be mine.” He said, looking at me as he stood up. “That's rude! Just get me something to drink, and this place is dirty, why didn't you clean it up?” I said, still fuming in anger. “W. What? Clean? I didn't apply for a cleaning job.” He said, looking baffled. I ignored his reply and went upstairs to my room angrily. Who could that man have been? Someone had interrupted us and he had to leave. This made my day cloudy, and I had no interest in talking to anyone, I felt like I could blow up anytime soon, and it was best that people avoid me. For hours, I sat on my bed with my arms enveloping my legs, and then I heard a knock on my door. I reluctantly asked who it was. “It's me, ma'am, Hudson replied. I cooked something to help calm your nerves.” I could feel anger boiling inside of me. I could have needed someone on who I could vent my anger, but I was not going to allow him to be the victim. I couldn't shift into my wolf form, but I could still make use of my claws and fangs and if my anger should get the best of me, he would say hello to his grave tonight, so I ignored him. “Ma'am?” Then I threw one of my shoes at the door, and then he shouted like he didn't expect that. He was just like a pest. ~ My anger didn't seem to cool down, but then I needed water, so I went downstairs, only to find Hudson standing in the sitting room, trying to shake off sleep from his eyes. I wondered what kind of human was this. Why was he standing and not going to bed? “Why are you here?” I asked, looking at him weirdly. “You have not shown me my room, ma'am, and you didn't want me to sit on the couch.” He said, standing alert. I looked at the dining, there was a covered plate, I opened it, and it was the food he said he had prepared. Then he walked over to where I was. “This will help calm your nerves and by now, I'm certain you are starving. Once you eat, you will feel a bit better.” He said, impatiently waiting for me to have a taste of it. I had a taste of it and it was perfect. Truly, it made me feel much better and my mood was calm. “How does it taste, ma'am?” He asked out of curiosity. “It tastes exquisite,” I replied, without looking at him. When I was done with the food, I decided to show him his way to the room, but when I stood up, I tripped and fell on him as he also, fell on the ground, with our lips touching, and my eyes widened in shock.
