DEVIN The atmosphere seemed to change when Valentine managed to flick something into Kerri's eye. The shift was immediate. The circle of fire seized and Valentine dropped to the ground. I swung at the barrier again but this time my hand passed through. I wasted no time. With every second that passed, things could go south again.
