VALENTINE I was seething as I emerged from the dining room. Chaos had erupted. Pack members, drawn by the commotion and the sight of the kitchen worker being escorted away, were converging like vultures to a carcass. I knew that by tomorrow, once they learned the full story, they'd be quick to join the Monarch hate brigade. Recognizing this only fueled my anger further.
