Sebastian could feel the numerous eyes on him, the murmuring, and the way heads turned to glance at him and Ophelia—he hated it.
This wasn’t the kind of attention he wanted, especially not tonight. Scarlett’s presence at this party, which was already uncomfortable for her, was now going to be overshadowed by the gossip around him and Ophelia, and he didn't like that one bit.
His gut told him Scarlett wouldn’t take this lightly, and if she saw how everyone else was focusing on him and his ex-girlfriend, there was no telling how she’d react.
He had spent enough time around Scarlett to know how much she despised being humiliated in public. A situation like this could very well push her to storm out of the party and maybe even lash out at him later.
