Chapter 32 The Trial I stared at my reflection in the bathroom mirror of the courthouse. My face looked pale and tired. Dark circles sat under my eyes from not sleeping for days. The orange jumpsuit they made me wear made me look even worse. My hands shook as I splashed cold water on my face. "Time to go," the female guard said. Her voice wasn't mean, but it wasn't kind either. She just sounded bored, like this was just another day for her. My legs felt wobbly as I walked.
