“They have taken one of ours. One of my children has been taken away from me and I am angry. I. AM. FURIOUS'' his voice got louder with every word he said. The children were holding their mothers, hiding their faces and the adults tried to hide their fear.
“Myra, you okay?” Ty asked, noticing her squirming in her seat.
“The emotions are overwhelming, everyone is angry and scared and I can’t not feel it” she grunted out “I feel like my head is going to explode”.
“Leave, I’ll tell Jupiter you went to check on Reiss”.
“Thanks Ty”, she squeezed his hand and left”.
“Yesterday night, my daughter was attacked and this morning, Elizabeth Zoy, Daughter of Ingrid Zoy and Alfred Zoy was kidn*pped on my land”. In the back of the assembly, Ingrid erupted into another fit of tears as her husband tried to comfort her.
Jupiter stared at the crowd in silence for minutes, his face emotionless. “We have a traitor in our midst, a spy has infiltrated our community and betrayed our family and when I figure out who that is, they will know fear and they will know pain”. He stands and leaves, his bodyguard closely behind him, leaving everyone in silence.
“Jupiter wants us in his office now, Myra too”. Avalon whispered, sneaking away, trying not to bring attention to himself.
Myra, Avalon, Tyrone, Naheem, Jupiter’s guard, his advisors - Fox and Beta and Jupiter stood in the office.
“Jupiter, when are we starting the meeting?”. Beta voiced the thoughts of everyone.
“We’re waiting on one mo-” the door opens, interrupting his sentence.
“Sorry I’m la-”
“Brother!!” Naheem exclaimed like a child, running towards him with his hands spread out.
He put his hand out to stop him “ Touch me and I break your arms, both” he says in a british accent.
“Always the violent one Lex. Meet the gang, this is Myra, she never listened when her mum told her not to play with fire, Tyrone, he does magic tricks and Avalon is a goodie two-shoes and I’m sure you remember the rest of th-”

“As I said during the meeting, Elizabeth Zoy was kidn*pped this morning but that’s not all. We received a message from the fae kingdom demanding Euphorbia’s head for the safe return of the girl…”
“My King, surely you cannot be thinking of making such a trade. We have waited centuries for-”
“OF COURSE NOT” he shouted, cutting off Beta. "She was seen with her yesterday. I am assuming they think she has some sort of connection with the child"
“So we leave the girl in the hands of the fae…?” Avalon asks.
“We can send the troops to infiltrate the fae kingdom and rescue the girl”
“We would be easily outnumbered, the faerie army quadruple our troops in numbers and we would be left defenseless”
“Why do the fae want the princess dead?” Alex voiced his thoughts, his voice, his face, everything around and about him demanded respect.
"Dead?"A voice exclaimed behind, turning everyone’s attention to Reiss supporting her weight with the door.
“You should still be healing” Naheem exclaimed, confused as to how she was up already, but didn’t bother asking.
“What do you mean dead? Why do people I have never met want me dead?” she asks again.
“That’s unimportant , no harm will come to you as long as you are here” Beta speaks, looking to Jupiter for appraisal for his words.
“Shut up Beta! You have fae blood running through your veins, my daughter, Royal fae blood. Prince Marimus is to take the throne but he can’t be accepted because you are next in line and until your blood is shed, he cannot rise to the throne.
“She has-”

“Royal fae blood?”
“Yes, but we will keep her safe from…”
Reiss interrupts his speech, running out of the room, slamming the door behind her.
“That? That is supposed to be our savior?” Alex spat, his face morphed in disgust.
“Know your place! You shall not speak about the princess in such a manner! The beta shrieks.
“Princess” he scoffs, exiting the room too. Beta looks to Jupiter but he seems to be lost in thought.
“You are going to wear out the floor tiles with your pacing. You are supposed to be resting Naheem” he sits on the floor watching her like she’s a specimen in an exhibit.
“Naheem… you guys say I have powers? Deadly powers?”
“Yes ma’am”
“Don’t call me that. Deadly enough to… let’s say take out an army?”
“I.. I guess so. If the tales are factual” he replies worrily.
“Okay! Do you have a library of sorts?”
“Reiss… whatever you are thinking, don’t!”
“Why shouldn’t I? You have what Jupiter said, it’s me or her and it’s my fault. I was seen with the girl, that is why she was taken”
“That was just an assumption”
“Really? I don’t believe in coincidences Naheem! And this is beyond coincidental!”
“Okay, what do you intend to do? Huh? You have no idea how to use your powers…”
“I defeated the man that…”
“And you were out for a day ‘ONE MAN PRINCESS!’ I’m the one that healed you, they all saw how wrecked you were, but I felt it! Reiss! You don’t seem like the stupid type so please don’t do anything stupid”
“I’m sorry Naheem… I guess I am stupid”
I can’t let that girl die for nothing I’ll just go in, get her and get out... From a place I dont know, inhabited by fae ccreatures... that want me dead
“Princess” the guards in front of the library bowed, opening the doors for her.
“You seem to have accepted all the craziness pretty quickly” Alexander walks out of the aisle labelled maps. “This is what you’re looking for I presume”
“How did you…”
“My brother is an i***t, but he is right. You will be endangering your life and that of the child if you do this alone…”
“How did you…Alone?”
“You didn’t answer my initial question”
“You didn’t ask a question”
“Hmm..I guess you are right! You were quite adamant that this is all fake or a prank initially, why do you believe it all now?”
“It seems… I don’t know, right. I don’t know how to put it. It would be stupid to try and continue resisting after seeing wings spread from the back of my friend’s back”
“You still consider them your friends after you find out that they have been lying and that they have been lying to you, your whole life”
