"Get out," Mateo screamed while pointing at the door. "I said, leave right now," he repeated, this time his voice raging, it's obvious, he is furious. Linda smiles. "Mateo darling, don't be rude." She got up and walked towards him seductively, she places her two hands on his shirt. But Mateo moved away from her with force like she is dirty. "Don't!" he shouted again. This time looking like he would break down the house. Linda: "But your mother—" Mateo cuts in on her. "I said get out right now, or else you regret it. You want the security to come get you out? Leave right now!" Linda: "But your mother invited me, she said you would be—" Mateo: "To hell with that..." He moves away towards his bed and he ripped the bedsheet to let the roses fall. Linda became furious, she felt humiliated, she quickly ran out yelling, "You will regret this..." She slams the door. Walking angrily she bumps into one of the staff. Linda: "How dare you... stupid..." She lands a slap on him, pushed him to the side, she rushed outside, got into her car and drove away. Mateo sat on the floor, even more broken, he felt angry and disgusted by the sight of Linda and what just happened. He started scattering the roses, he turned off the lights, he got up, rushed to the bathroom and washed his face. Looking at himself. "Mia... Mia... I... I... need you. I need you, Miaaaaa. Please... come back to me... I'm so confused, you are the only one... my happiness, I need you back. ...I'm lonely... we are meant to be." He cried heavily, he walked out again, picked up his phone and dialed Mia's number. He dialed many times but didn't get a response. His grip tightened. Mateo: "I know I ignored you but please, just pick up the phone... Mia please, pick up the phone." He then texted her: "Mia, are you okay? I want us to see. I know I ignored your calls yesterday but... it's not intentional... can you please reply to the message..." After the typing he almost hit "SEND" but he didn't, the flashback of Mia's conversation with her Grandma came up again, he simply deleted the message. Mateo: "I'm the sin she couldn't confess, was I really important to her? She stammered to mention Mateo Langston. And the reason she cried to her Grandma." He quickly dropped the phone, he lay flat and fell asleep. Mia woke up that morning, looking beautiful as usual, she went into the bathroom, washed her face while the water splashed, she touched her lips gently, remembering how it felt the day they kissed, she smiled. "Oh... silly girl... come off your imagination." She tapped herself. Mia: "Mateo is gone, he is out of your life now, thank God it happened earlier not when I might have broken Grandma's rule of no s*x before marriage, thank God it was only a kiss, now I have to learn from my mistakes. Men can be cruel. Mateo... it's heart breaking that you did this to me... (smiles)... so sad..." "At this point I hate you, Mateo... you are evil... so everything we had was a mistake... haaaahhh! It was really a mistake to you. You played with my emotions... Dear Billionaire Mateo... now I'm not surprised..." She held in tears, she rushed back into her room with the mindset of going to delete his number. She picked up her phone and unlocked it. Mia: "It's over." Looking at the missed calls from him "My Savior." "What the hell... alright you have got the effrontery..." She quickly deleted his number. She dresses up for class. Mateo with Mom Victoria in his room. "Mateooo... why did you let her go..." Mateo: "I don't want her, I don't want anyone. I just wanna be alone." Mom Victoria: "Really... don't tell me you are broken because of Mia Sinclair... how long will this continue? Look into my eyes and tell me that you want to remain single till when." Mateo: "Linda is not the right woman for me." Mom Victoria: "Alright, tell me who's the right woman...? Who, Mateo... you are the heir to the Langston... you need to understand this..." Mateo: "Mom please, I would prefer if we don't talk about this at least for the mean time." Mom Victoria: "Alright son. The ball is in your court now... think about Linda, she is right for you." She stands up to leave but hesitates, then she said, "Before I leave I will like to tell you about Mrs. Helen Langston, your biological mom." On hearing this Mateo looked intently at her, then she sat back down. "Helen Langston died of a strange illness, a rare tropical autoimmune disorder that even the highest hospital could not diagnose. Your father took her to a village where she was given concoction that finally led to her death. On her dying bed she asked me to take absolute care of you, Mateo, she begged that I be with you, that I help you make right choices and whatever you see me doing today, that's in honor of her. If I warn you against Mia, I do that for a reason, not because I hate her but because I'm trying to protect you from middle class girls, they would drain you, Mateo Langston." She said with a slow emotional tone. At this point Mateo felt heavy, memories of his mom's death at the age of 13 hurt him more. Mom Victoria quickly got up to leave with her last words, "Think about it, son." She leaves. Mateo got up, went straight to his drawer and brought out his mother's pictures, he stared at it with affection all over him. Mateo: "Mom... I miss you... if you were here with me... you will stand by me... I'm stuck between my love for Mia and the family's expectations..."
