He helped me down and we walked and stood by the lake. It was quite large and had wild flowers growing around the edges which made it even more beautiful. Bees buzzed around them wild on pollen.
" I wish I could go for a swim" I sighed staring longingly at the water. The heat was already fierce even though it was not even noon as yet. I was always fascinated in the way water moved.
" Then why don't you?"
" One I can't swim unfortunately and two I can't afford to get wet. Don't encourage the madness in me" I smiled up at him.
He smiled back and stood there looking out his arms crossed against his chest.
" I like the madness in you"
I didn't reply but just continued to watch the breeze kiss the lake sending ripples through it.
