The betrayal

Chapter 6 David froze with one foot halfway on the edge. His heart jumped.

"Did I.... did I do something wrong?" he asked quietly. (David)

Sally turned over in bed, her eyes red and puffy but her voice was firm.

"I said stop because.... because I am scared.

Well you don't need to be scared I won't harm you.(David)

The room went silent David could hear his own heartbeat.

" Are you sure about this? "(David asked one more time)he whispered, sitting carefully on the edge of the bed instead.

"After everything...." I'm sure, "Sally said, and for the first time that night she reached for his hand. Her fingers were cold." I'm tired of being angry at you. I'm tired of being scared. I just.... I don't want to be alone with all this thoughts. (Sally)

David squeezed her hand. The guilt he had been carrying all night felt a little bit lighter.

I'm not going anywhere, he said. Not tonight.

Not ever if you'll let me.

Sally let out a shaky breath that sounded almost like a laugh.

You are so dramatic, she mumbled, but she shifted over and made space for him.

Just don't snore.or talk in your sleep. Or be you(Sally)

David lay down beside her, careful not to jostle her. The bed smelled like her shampoo and tears.

I'll try, he said. No promises on the snoring though.

That earned him the smallest smile from her.

Minutes passed. The house was quiet.Late in the night, Mrs Mathew's came to check on Sally.

When she opened the door she was surprised, her son was sleeping with her. She was happy they got along but not on bed.

She immediately left and went back to her room.

The next day Sally woke up before David.

She thought David used her mood and lured her in bed.

She grew angry at him and went to the hall.

David woke not seeing Sally was worried, Mrs Matthews knew what was going on she acted like she knew nothing.

She waited for David to come to the hall, then started condemning him.

Aunt your son took away my virginity, he used my mood to get into my pants.

That's not true mum, (David)

Well I saw you in her room so yes I believe her. (Mr's Mathew's)

David left with anger he thought they were friends now, not knowing she had it planned all along.

Sally's plan was working. David's mum was annoyed of what he did.

She later went to talk to David. (Sally)

My plan is working, very soon they will cancel the wedding. (Sally)

Look Sally, I as much as you don't really want to get married but you don't make my not to make my mum angry against me.

Ok I am so sorry for that, it wouldn't do that again. (Sally)

Do you promise? (David)

Yes I do(Sally)

Guys get ready we are going to the hospital, any problem? (David)

When we get you will know(Mrs Mathew's) Madam Mathew's is it about my Dad? (Sally asked)
