That evening I tried waiting for the right time to ask Jayden but I got impatient. At dinner he was feeding Alycia steamed broccoli through an imaginary choo-choo train that took a bending route from the plate upto her mouth. I decided I wasn’t going to take that route with my question. “I met Amelia today.” I said it off with ease but Jayden knew it was an event. She and I hadn’t really connected after our amatory evening two weeks ago. She was busy with her revampment but I also felt there was more to it. I don’t think sharing her man was easy for her. Even this invitation was friable. It couldn’t be tampered with; it might not come again and it was recumbent on me to make it happen. And I wanted it to happen. Oh, did I want it. “She invited me over to tour her newly revamped home.”
