Patience's POV
We found a window seat at a restaurant downtown.
I called the police station first. I told them I'd come in after we ate to give my statement.
The officer confirmed and hung up.
"That jerk! I heard he's already looking for the best lawyers in New York for Madison and Hattie! He wants them to get off!"
Yvette was furious whenever she mentioned Kelsey.
The silverware rattled in her grip. "Doesn't he think about what Madison and Hattie did? Was that even human?"
"He won't find good lawyers." Leonard suddenly spoke, his voice cold and certain.
"None of the top four law firms will take his case."
I paused. Then I remembered Leonard's grandfather's family were all lawyers.
Given that connection, his words were credible.
