The next day, I find myself standing on the training field during the hottest part of the day with everyone staring at me, the smell of sweat already permeating the air.
When I got home yesterday, I found Eli spread out on the floor, wrapped in the covers from our bed, along with Hannah, Nick, and Laney. I didn’t even bother waking them, and instead grabbed Jake and the kids to go out for some light training. Eventually, they all made their way to the field, each with their own rumpled appearance.
