“William definitely laid the doom and gloom on thick,” Max mutters as everyone disperses to grab food.
“It's true though,” Conner says, his mouth already full of his sandwich, “I've obviously never seen a battle, but I have seen two vampires that hated each other fighting back and forth for days, and it wasn’t pretty.”
I've always liked Conner. He joined our pack not long after Zander was born, and he's proven a good friend to him through the years. Those to and Joshua are definitely a force when they're getting into mischief. It also makes ma happy to see vampires interacting closely with us.
