I spread the folder across my desk and stare at the photograph clipped to the front page. Vivian, thinner than I remember, standing outside a pawn shop with her arms crossed like the cold has finally caught up to her.
Herald sets a coffee at my elbow and doesn't sit down. "The report's thorough. You've read it three times already, I can tell by the coffee rings."
