A romantic night out
"What do you do for fun miss Santa? He asked.
" cooking or on my phone, it actually been a while since I had fun,
"That's pretty boring, can I take you somewhere right now? He asked
" Did you just call me boring?
"no" he replied laughing
"am just saying your idea of fun is a bit outdated"
"I love outdated it's peaceful no noise"
"Come on, noises can be good too"

Some minutes later
He stopped the car in an alley, I could hear chatters, music but I didn't see anyone.
" where's the noise coming from? I asking getting down the car.
"follow me' he replied moving down to the next alley and there was lots of Christmas lights and trees, stalls adored with light and some performers singing songs, there were lots of people and everyone was engrossed in the own buissnes.
It was a Christmas market.
He took me a an elderly woman stall
It was a hot chocolate stand.
I could swear I didn't know about the market and had never heard of it, it wasn't some rich market it was a local market were the sellers were simple and kind sold handmade gifts, decorations there were cute photo of the booths you had to pay to use. Different ice cream, food and drink stands. The different performers did thier thing with a bowl before them for onlookers to drop any amount of money for them.
Here didn't look like some place luxurious how did he know it.
"I will have Classic hot chocolate with whipped cream, what about you miss Santa?
" milk chocolate with marshmallows"
"Hey son! How are you doing been a while"
"Bigmama! He exclaimed as he hugged the elderly woman that owned the stall I guess cause some people were asking how the stall was going.
" Been busy with work would have visited the house "
" It's okay I understand if you can't come"she said with a strange emotional look thats giving me a feeling there is more to it.
" No, I have moved on from that it's been years now big mama"he assured her.
" Okay, am expecting you son"
"I will come" he nodded.
"How do you know her" I asked curiously savoring the chocolate flavor.
"Errm.. Long story" he replied with a curt smile, there's definitely more to their relationship but am in no position to press further am just an employee he's taking out for fun.
"How do you even know here? I asked unable to suppress my curiosity
" And don't give me the long story bullshit"I added.
He laughed "Okay ma, I actually use to handmade ornaments here when I was little, so I have known here for a long time way before they became this colorful" he explained I found it had to believe he sold ornaments here he was lieing.
"Why are you pulling my legs, you were probably running around the mansion or attending music and horse riding classes when you were little" I said teasing trying to press him
He let out a big laugh
"I knew you wouldn't believe me but that's the truth my friend no my use to be friend Ben use to sell ornaments with me in the market he's the one that found the market and brought me here and now am bringing you, it's my first time bringing someone here" He said seriously staring directly into my eyes.
"Oh okay what did your use to be friend do for you to give him the 'use _to_be" title?
"He slept with my fiancee" he replied without hesitation.
"whoa that's alot, am sorry"
"It's in the past now, Am good"
" When you're done let's take a walk around the market"
Alright.
The walk was peaceful, the night breeze on my skin, the different light made a nice view, I stopped to listen to some children chior, they were amazing as they sang heavenly, it took me back to time my sister and I were in the chior as kids.
" You should come on Christmas eve, they are divine" and Jamie who was standing beside me said
"I bet"
"Brought the kids here once and they didn't stop talking about it"
"You're right, I should bring the kids here, they would love it"
"yea, so where's thier mother? He asked suddenly
"she died in an accident"
"Am sorry about that"
"It's okay it's been four years since"
"You're a strong lady miss Santa"
"You know it wouldn't hurt to call me my name" I said trying to change the topic and it worked
He chuckled "I think Miss Santa suits you just fine'
" Haha, very funny "I replied as we both laughed. I bought some handmade ornaments that he recommended to me for my mom and some two crafted wood toys for the kids.
He dropped me off home and walked me to the door
" I won't be around to supervise you cause my friend Reese who's getting married on 26th is throwing a party"
"Oh my God! I will be so lost without your supervision and won't be able to survive please don't go" I said sarcastically and he smiled
"Stop"
I smiled too
" Okay, have fun"

I watched him as he left and drove away there was this feeling like I didnt want him to go.
"Who's he? Mom said as I entered into the house.
" Mom you startled me"
"Don't change it, Who's he Sam?
Cause I don't remember when last a man walked you home"
"Ouch mom, Touche"
"Sorry it's facts just tell me already who's he?
" He's one of the people I work for that gave me a ride home"
"hmmm You like him,
" No, I don't " I snapped
" You do"
"No I don't......
Next morning
I got the house the mown mower was almost done, the workers were eating snacks Marie gave them while waiting for me.
" Am sorry am late.... "I tried to Explain to Marie
" it's okay, Jamie told me he took you out and you would come in late"
"he did?
" yea he did, you can take over now cause I have to take Poppy and Micky to the salon.
"Okay, thank you so much Marie" I was very grateful she was a great person
"I understand and Midow that supervisor from the Santa team is here, she couldn't get Jamie so she settled for Andy, don't let her bother you" Marie informed me
So one of the dolls is here, I could only just avoid her.
The workers began construction after a brief meeting with them, it was going well and at this pace we would be done by tomorrow to now begin decorations. And I have to buy flowers cause I got a new idea of adding flowers.
I went to the tell the snacks Marie left for me cause I was feeling hungry, and as I was leaving I bump into Midow spilling the drink she was holding on the floor and some over her blue short skirt.
"What the f**k? I got this get from Zara! She screamed.
" Am sorry it wasn't intentional "
" It is you jealous b***h, you're gonna pay for my skirt"
"I said am sorry" I yelled
"Believe me it's either you're paying or am removing it from your pay after you work the remaining two gigs" She stated.
Yea you had to do three gigs before you get paid I didn't know till after the Santa gig at Jamie welcome party for the kids and I haven't done the remaining two more gigs cause I have been busy with the project marie gave me.
"Okay fine I work the gigs and you take the money" I agreed I didn't want trouble with the Midow girl.
"Okay but your second gig is tonight by 8pm, come to the office and don't be late" she said she smiling which gave me chills
What was she up too
I had a feeling it was going to be good at all.....
