Draven's pov The thought of her having another mate rang through my head as I banged into the study. I had left Kaelis's room out of frustration or disappointment-- I couldn't say. But what I knew was that I would be a fool to just believe whatever she said. I walked to the table, searching the drawers, and I found my cigar. I had to light it up and quickly, I took a drag. Then another, and another. Slowly, the storm in my head and chest was dying down-- or I thought it was. In a bout of anger, I flung the table across the room as it shattered on impact with the wall.
