MARINA I feel around before I open my eyes. I don't want to see him leave. I want to wake up when he's gone, that he's leaving. My thoughts held as someone knocked on the door and immediately opened my eyes as I heard Adam's mother's voice. "Marina, are you awake? Can I come in?" she asked and I hurried to my bed and noticed that Adam was gone. There was a hidden pain in my heart but I didn't want to burst into tears.
