The Alpha’s Secret

Being Alpha was hard!

He ran at wolf speed all the way up to his room, he’d moved to the Alpha sweet the weekend before, if there was ever a reminder of his non-mate accepting status, it was this place. It had three massive rooms, three bathrooms, his office and a huge open plan living/kitchen/dining room. He ran straight to his bathroom needing to release some pressure.

He needed to relieve himself twice before calming down, what in the goddess had just happened? He’d never expected to run into her in the woods, he’d needed a run after last nights dream, when he woke up he actually missed her, so decided an early morning run would clear his head. He couldn’t believe how brazen she’d been, grabbing him and kissing him as she did, it took every ounce of strength he had to pull himself away. It was better then what he’d dreamed kissing her was like, way better.

He eventually got out of the shower, there was work to be done, the Alpha ascension was tomorrow and he had to get things sorted for the ceremony, not only that a lot of Alphas were heading to the Blue Moon pack for the ceremony. He was finally going to be the Alpha. His dad kept delaying, hoping he’d find his mate, passing the pack to a strong Alpha was one thing, but one with a Luna by his side was formidable. His dad kept going on about bringing any girl in, just make the other Alphas believe he’d found his mate, it would make us look strong, he kept saying. He sort of saw his point, but he couldn’t do that to Anna, he’d love nothing more then to forget his troubles between the legs of a woman, but he knew the immense pain this would cause her. It had not gone unnoticed to him that she hadn’t done anything either. Lex felt gunner snort ‘good, she’s mine’ he said, Lex rolled his eyes, his wolf hated him for not taking his mate.

He’d got dressed and walked into his office finding Kit his gamma waiting for him, even through he’d not accepted her, Kit still felt the pull to his Luna, he must have felt what had happened this morning and wanted to find out what happened ‘should I ask’ he said, raising his eyebrows, depending on how long he’d been there its likely he heard Lex relieving himself in the shower. ‘You can ask, but I’m not gonna tell’ Lex replied. Kit didn’t seem worried about her so Lex didn’t think she was too upset about what happened. He moved to stand up ‘I’m gonna go see here, if that’s alright?’ Lex waived at him to dismiss him ‘wait’ he said, he scrolled something down, ‘give her this for me’ Kit looked down and smiled ‘right you are boss’

After Kit left, Lex tried to settle down to do some work, as well as running the pack he also ran two businesses, as well as owning a construction business that specialised in building high end office buildings and housing, he was also an architect, when he was creating buildings it was the only time he didn’t think about anything else, about her.

After about 10 minutes he realised he wasn’t gonna get his head into working right now, he wondered into his master bedroom, it had a massive bathroom and two walk in wardrobes, one for him and one for her, it was this one he walked into, there hanging up looking brand new was the dress she had worn to Helen’s party. The one she’d worn the night he found out they were mates, she’d looked stunning that night, he’d clocked her the second she’d walked in, he didn’t know then what she was to him, but just because she was so beautiful she glowed. He’d watched her that night standing on the edge, hiding and watching everyone have fun, she’d looked so sad he almost asked her to dance himself. There was no one more shocked then him when he caught a whiff of her scent, jasmine and rose with a hint of vanilla, it was delicious. He walked over to the dress and packed it in a garment bag before he could think too long about it, he grabbed the matching shoes and headed back to his office quickly scribbling something on some card he picked up the dress and shoes and headed to her place.

Her scent got stronger as he got closer, he knew she wasn’t there, that she was at work, so he allowed himself a moment to believe he was coming home to her. He took a deep breath and left the package, he imagined how confused she’d be when she saw it, that he’d kept it all this time. He hoped she’d be pleased.

When he got outside he mind linked his beta, Paul. ‘met me in my office’ was all he said before he closed the link. He knew he’d be there when he arrived, Paul was a good beta, they’d been best friends since the womb, he was the only one who knew his secret, he knew why he wouldn’t take her as his mate. Paul was waiting when he got there, ‘what’s up boss’ he said, Lex looked right at Paul ‘I’m gonna tell Anna everything, and make her mine’ Paul let out a low whistle ‘when’, Lex thought a second ‘tomorrow, at the Alpha ceremony’ Paul sat down in the big chair near the unlit fireplace ‘are you sure you want to tell her everything right away?’ he said, ‘why, what are you thinking’ Gunners ears had perked up ‘ I think it would go smoother if she was mated and marked before you tell her? It will defiantly be a smoother outcome I think?’ Lex thought for a bit, hmmm Paul is right, Gunner agreed, although Lex thought this was because he had more of a chance of getting his hands on Anna this way. ‘Ok, I’m gonna accept her as my Luna, then tell her the truth’

Decision made Lex thought, let’s hope it’s the right one!
