The four of them wandered from one roadway to another, pausing occasionally to gawk at a window display or a public performer. There were more shops than establishments offering food and drink, but the ones they encountered they felt compelled to step inside and taste the local fare. It was all part of the experience of visiting a new location and realizing there was little probability they would return.
The longer he was in Aiden’s company, the more Derek relaxed and answered Aiden’s questions regarding the events leading up to his stay in F-4, his time with the Force, and how and where he usually spent his days. It didn’t escape Aiden’s notice that Derek became evasive and vague when questioned about his home, and of course Aiden offered similar answers when Derek inquired the same.
