I unbuckled and ran from the lifeboat as fast as I could. I saw Sedge do the same, followed by three black-clad lifeforms. They were heading up an escape corridor that had opened in response to the crash. We followed them. The corridor closed behind me, but I felt the tremors under my feet as the lifeboat and the platform exploded. The explosion would have been covered by a protective bubble blown to do that by the Circle defences and within minutes there would be no evidence of it. I was chasing Sedge and my mind finally caught up with me as I realised that I had no actual plan if I caught Sedge other than to kill her.
