Chapter Two: Lynn’s Family

Lynn's pov 

Alpha Dean told Anna and David Lynn his betas that there would be a pack meeting today. When the time came for the meeting to start they walked to the meet with Alpha Dean and Luna Sarah.

Beta David talked to the Alpha before the meeting began. The Alpha started talking and then the Elders. In the end there was a long period of silence before lots and lots of questions were being asked. The Alpha dismissed the pack and Anna and David went back to their room.

Anna sits on the bed in deep thought when David held her and asked her what's got her in a deep thought. She took a deep breath and looked in his face. Two words that will change their life forever.. "I'm pregnant" we're going to be parents. 

David couldn't believe it! He was so overjoyed about having a pup.. his first born pup. He took his mate and kissed her passionately. Hoping she felt every spark.. every ounce of joy. Once they pulled away they smiled at each other and David planted sweet soft kisses on Anna's unnoticeable baby bump. 

It's been 4 months now and Anna has gone through so many different food cravings to random outburst to sleeping. The pack doctor said that everything was going good and that they are having a baby girl. She was currently sleeping in their room when the moon goddess came to her. At first she was shocked. The moon goddess was beautiful... extremely beautiful. Holding a clear silver like crown. A long white dress. Anna pinched her arm to make sure that she wasn't imagining this. The moon goddess was really here. So many questions forming inside Anna's mind. 

The moon goddess smiled at her asked her to sit with her. Suddenly Anna realized her surroundings. They were in forest with the grass beautiful and bright. There were flowers everywhere. Then in the direction the moon goddess pointed to was this breath taking lake. They sat down near the lake. The moon goddess looked at Anna with a soft expression. 

"Anna. I know you have a lot of questions, but right now I need you to listen to me. Very carefully."  She stated calmly.

"Okay. Please tell me what's going on?" Anna asked slowly.

"As you already know there's a prophecy. This is very much true. There will be a war like no other." She proclaimed. 

"Yes, I know.. But what does all that have to do with me?" Anna asked puzzled.

"All I can say is that you need to prepare." The moon goddess looked at her and smiled. 

"W-what..? Prepare for what..? The war?" she asked very confused.

"You will understand soon. Be safe my child. Remember our conversation." The moon goddess said.

With that being said Anna looked around and everything was turning white and woke up to a very worried mate. 

"Anna! Are you okay? I called you but you weren't answering.. Do I need to call the pack doctor?!" he asked worriedly.

"David. I'm fine. We are both fine. You don't need to bring in the pack doctor. I-I.." she replied.

"You what hun?" he asked.

Anna tried to remember what happened before she woke up. Suddenly everything came rushing back to her.

"The moon goddess.. she- she came to me.. she told me that I needed to.." she stated.

"To what hun? What did the moon goddess tell you?" he questioned.

"She told me to...prepare.." she whispered.

"Prepare for what?" he asked trying to make sense of this.

"I don't know..." she replied lowly.

It's been three weeks since the moon goddess visited Anna in her sleep. Every day they work to figure it out. To try to make sense of it all. But they are only getting more and more concerned and confused. 

That night when David slept.. the moon goddess came to him. He looked around in the woods. These woods weren't the same as his packs. He heard a brand snap and immediately looked to the source. He couldn't help but walk towards whatever snapped the branch. He walked deeper and deeper in the woods until he came across this breathing view on a hill. He couldn't help but sit down and admire the beauty in front of him. 

Suddenly, being startled by someone calling his name. He got up and looked to the source and seen a beautiful lady.

"David. I've been waiting for you," she said.

"You have? How come I've never seen you before? Where am I?" he questioned.

"I'm sure your wife.. Anna has told you about me." she replied.

"H-how did you know about her..?" he asked slightly nervous.

"There's no need to be nervous David." she answered with a kind smile. 

"Y-your the moon goddess...! I'm actually having a conversation with the moon goddess...?" he said slowly piecing everything together.

"Yes. David, I am and you are." she replied.

"Wait... What am I doing here..?" he wondered. 

"I brought you here to tell you something important.. So listen closely." she announced.

David sat down waiting for the moon goddess to join him and when she did she looked at him and smiled. He gladly returned it.

"David." She stated sternly.

At the mention of his name, he looked at the moon goddess.

"Yes, moon goddess?" he asked.

You need to be careful who you tell this too. You need to protect her." she informed.

A growl left his lips at the thought of his mate in danger. 

"Is my mate in danger. Is my baby girl safe? Are they safe?! Moon goddess?" He asked desperately. 

"I'll see you soon." She said with a small smile.

Before he could ask anything else he was back in his bed. His mate looking at him worriedly.

"What happened?" She asked concerned.

"The moon goddess came to me. She told me to protect her." he replied.

"Who? Me? Or our pup?" she asked very worriedly. 

"I don't know. But I promise you whatever happens I will protect you both with my life." He answered with determination and honesty laced in his voice.

They went back to sleep holding each other praying to the moon goddess that everything will be okay in the end.

It's been three weeks and a month..since David talked to the moon goddess. There minds all over the place. With the prophecy... the unknown war.. to trying to piece together what the moon goddess meant.. everything was just too much for them to handle. 

They were both holding each other while they slept. They woke up the forest. They both looked at each other confused. The moon goddess came out of the forest and walked to them. She gave them a hug and a small smile.

"Anna and David. How are you?" she asked.

"We are okay." Anna replied. 

"I'm glad to hear. How's the baby girl?" she questioned.

"She's beating my butt." Anna answered letting out a laugh while holding her belly. 

Everyone joined in. They walked to the waterfall and sat down. Anna looked at David and then the moon goddess.

"Umm... Moon goddess.. If I may ask.." she rambles on.

"Go ahead Anna." she replied with a small.

"What are we doing here?" she asked nervously.

"Good question and here's the answer." she replied.

They both stayed quiet waiting for the moon goddess to continue.

"Anna I told you to prepare. David I told you to protect her. Now I'm telling you both that your daughter is the chosen one.

Anna couldn't believe it. She started crying harder and harder. David telling her to calm down and let the moon goddess continue. She obey and looked up to the moon goddess.

"She's not safe... is she?" She asked slowly.

"I can not answer that. What I can tell you is that you both need to be strong. I'm always watching." She stated.

Then just like before they woke up back in their bed. Anna cried herself to sleep. The next day they went to the Alpha's office and asked if he could call the elders in along with the luna. Once they were all there. All eyes were on them. 

"What's this all about David and Anna?" The alpha asked.

"It's about our daughter..." David answered.

"What about her?" the Luna asked.

She got up and hugged Anna who let stray tears down her face. Everyone sat down on the sofas.

"She's - it's her.." Anna answered trying not to break down crying again.

What do you mean...'It's her?' The alpha wondered. 

The Lynn's looked at their baby then back to the rest.

"She's the chosen one. She's the prophecy." they both whispered.

Silence fell between them.

"How can you be sure?" The alpha voiced.

"The moon goddess came to Anna and then me and finally to the both of us. She told Anna to prepare. She told me to protect her. Finally she told us both that it's our daughter." David answered.

"It's their daughter." Elder Nina said voiced in.

"How come you didn't tell us?" Anna questioned. 

"The moon goddess came to us the next day telling us not too. Elder Lora stated. 

"She said you weren't ready yet." Elder Susanna replied.

"So what happens now? We have to protect her." Anna stated.

"The baby must be born." Elder Nina answered.
