After what felt like an eternity her set finished and I got up to find her but she already disappeared.   

“Where is she?” Everest whined, he was panicking and so was I. God I never get nervous this was so frustrating but then I felt her next to me, “don’t you just love live music?” She asked with a thick Australian accent or was it New Zealand. Before I could respond she had already ordered a drink and was trying to guess my order. A Manhattan, I’d never had one but I’d start drinking them now if she wanted me to. I’d do anything for her. Play it cool man, I thought “not even close” I replied flashing her a smile, “just a soda and lime for me thank you”, “$21.50," the bartender said with a thick accent as well, I hadn’t noticed before. I saw her get out her purse and quickly handed the bartender cash. ‘I’m Cove” she said holding her hand out in front of me, beautiful unique Cove I thought “Finlay, but everyone calls me Finn” I replied taking her hand, and then I felt it that feeling everyone talks about. The sparks, the fireworks, the warm electricity flowing between our hands. I looked at our hands and then back at her and I no longer felt nervous, I felt like I was home. The room felt quiet and empty like it was just the two of us, “Cove” I said quietly, almost a whisper, I didn’t dare let go of her hand. She was so close to me, her big green eyes were lined with long thick lashes, her cute little button nose had a small ring through it, and her lips, those big juicy lips looked delicious. I slowly leaned closer to her, I had to kiss her. Everest was whining he needed her too, just as I was close enough for my lips to graze hers Jackson wedged his way between us “hey love birds” he said with a smirk, looking between us. I dropped her hand and pinched the bridge of my nose “f**k off Jackson” I said shaking my head suppressing my anger for now. He laughed and turned to Cove, “hi remember me?” He asked, I watched a cheeky smile spread across her face “no” she replied bluntly but I couldn’t tell if she was joking or not. I watched him raise a hand to his heart “ah I’m shattered, how will I go on” he said dramatically pretending to die. I felt myself get embarrassed but then she laughed, that laugh was music to my ears, he jumped up and scooped her into a hug “what the f**k man” I said through our mind link, he was starting to piss me off, how dare he touch what’s mine. Jackson just waved me off looking at Cove “so Cove, I see you’ve met my boy Finlay, or should I say our boy?” He said waggling his eyebrows, draping his arm over her shoulder and turning to me, I guess that answered my question. “I'm sorry Cove, this is Jackson he was just leaving," I said sternly my eyes not leaving hers “booooooo” Jackson replied before dropping his arm and turning on his heel to leave. 

I’m his alpha and he knew not to push it too far “don’t forget we’ve got another meeting at 10 am tomorrow” I reminded him via mind link. Cove giggled and finished off her first drink before perching herself on the stool next to me taking a sip of her second drink. “Where were we?” She asked beaming at me, I couldn’t help but smile back her I was putty in this woman's hands. “Right here” I replied leaning down to her, placing a hand gently on her neck feeling that electricity again. She closed her eyes and slowly kissed me, I swear the earth stood still she was perfect, kissing her was perfect. I don’t normally move this fast, I’m an old fashioned guy wine & dine, buy the girl flowers type, but Cove wasn’t just anyone I needed her, craved her. Our kiss quickly turned hungry and passionate, I had a vice grip on her hip while her tongue explored my mouth, her delicate fingers running through my hair. I could smell her arousal and I swear that smell alone made me rock hard in an instant. “Do you wanna get outta here?” She barely whispered I didn’t even answer I just took her hand and lead her to the door, stopping only for her to get her coat.
