CHAPTER 47
ALEX POV
My phone rang, blaring through my sleep and waking me up. I opened my eyes with a start.
The ringing stopped.
I was just about to go back to sleep when my phone rang out again. I stirred, irritated.
It was still early, because the room was quite dark.
I rolled over on the and picked up the phone. As soon as I saw who the caller ID was, I sat up on the bed, alarmed.
It was Zino. He rarely called this early and I immediately knew that something was wrong.
I heaved a sigh and answered the call, "Alex?" His voice came on from the other end of the line.
I frowned, "Yeah?"
"Something went wrong"
"The girls?" I asked.
"No. Rico was attacked yesterday at collection point. Turns out that no one noticed that he was missing until a local found him, unconscious"
