My heart thumped in my chest as I bit back a scream.
Everything happened so damn fast!
The look of fear on Alex’s face as he grabbed that gun and jumped out of the room still struck my mind. The speed with which he kicked right into action—it threw me aback.
Soon, he sent his men to look for me.
I was too shaken to even think. The building was now quiet, but I was still tensed.
