ALEX’S POV
I was wondering if she heard anything but I couldn't figure it out. If she had heard anything I was sure she would have reacted. It only meant that she didn't hear anything.
For some reasons I don't know I felt this tug in my chest. I felt bad for not telling her anything about it. I had wanted to tell but I couldn't say anything, the words felt so wrong for me to say.
I had not expected her father to agree, it happened that I said it in the spur of the moment but he jumped on it like he has always been eager to do so and I had to use the opportunity.
Well now, I had realized it wasn’t an opportunity. Somehow it was going to jeopardize my life with her. She wasn’t going to settle with someone who bought her.
Gosh, what the hell was I thinking!
