POV: Nyxara The forest grew darker the farther we traveled from the stronghold. Ancient trees blocked out the sun, their branches twisted like arthritic fingers. The path to Crescent Falls wound through territory that had once been neutral ground but now felt hostile. "We're being watched," Kael said quietly, his silver eyes scanning the shadows.
