Chapter-2; Beast- A person who is brutal, vile, heartless , merciless etc. ? Third person's POV.- A day for a man whose life consist of nothing else but mere playboy ways, and full day work would not be much hard to guess what he would be doing right now. "Bring all the files in my office right now." He commanded the already sweating assistant of his. "On the way.... sir." He said stuttering. The only thing that the business tycoon, the most eligible bachelor in whole New York doesn't like is stuttering. An 25 year old young man with sharp features that can make your knees buckle, with a sharp jaw, perfect arched brows, dark hair, tanned skin and heavenly built body. "Mister Smith, what did I told you about stuttering?" Xavier asked his voice screaming a dark aura, although he wasn't any mafia leader or something but being the CEO of a very big empire he got it automatically. His expression harden, he doesn't like people who lacks confidence, and he already had fired three assistants in this month because they stuttered during a meeting, obviously due to fear. "Not to stutter." He replied clearing his throat to get a better voice, but failed miserably. Xavier leaned back on his chair and lazily, yet mysteriously, twirled his pen in his two fingers. "Then it would be a shame to tell you that Smith. You are fired." He said his voice calm and collected and without stutter like he was telling 'hey look today's weather is so good, right pal.' But this was already a scary statement for the man standing before Xavier. "Excuse me sir." The man said in utter confusion. One more thing Xavier hates was to repeat himself. And the man clearly asked for a repetition, making his anger on the top floor. He threw the pen across the room and stood up, just stood up and the poor man was already pissing in his pants. "I. said. You. Are. Fired." Xavier said again in a calm tone. But before the dumb man could question further he added. "I don't want to repeat myself Smith, now out." He ordered the man and sat back at the chair, the man knew Xavier as a cold business man and knew his anger perks, and after visually gulping, obviously seen by Xavier, he scurried out of the room. Xavier smirked in victory looking at the horrified expression of the man, but sighed heavily when realized that he have to now look for a new assistant. Suddenly the door burst opened and a soft of pitter-patter of footsteps was heard. Instantly bringing smile onto the face of the one and only, Xavier Sinclair. Who knew he could smile, at least not the one who was packing his full stuff in a hurry outside the door. "Xavi." The girl was about four and half years, she was a full blood sibling of his, he never thought of having a mother pregnant when he was in his college year but nonetheless, he was happy and thankful to his mother, to bring such an angel in his life. "Hailey! My baby what are you doing here?" he asked the girl softly, almost cooing, as the girl had already settled herself on her brother's lap not tugging his sleeves to get his extra attention towards her small hands. Obviously she was having his full attention and this is what she always want from everyone. But today the girl had come up with an another thing on which she wanted Xavier's attention, she stretched her small hands towards Xavier, handing him a envelop she jumped off his lap and the little naughty girl climbed the chair in front of his desk and then jumped onto the desk, swinging her ponies and her sundress getting crumpled under her, not having a single drop of Xavier's attention, because Xavier's full attention was devoted on the envelop in his hands. He opened the folder and took the pages in the size of a photograph but facing the blank side, the moment he turned the photograph, his breath got hitched in his throat. The deep brown eyes totally showing innocence, even in the picture. He shuffled the pages and the more he saw the more he got hypnotized in the pictures. Round face, big dough-brown eyes, total epitome of innocence, like away from the world's every slightest evil; the button nose; the plum lips so tastable, but sculpted in a way, no one can resist. He got caught in the photos. That he didn't even noticed his panting mum, entering the office and then scolding the little munchkin on the desk. He just stared at the photo for several minutes, each one of them and was very attracted by the girl. To say that she was beautiful would be an understatement, she is beyond beautiful, and to add in the list, Xavier himself added in the list, like, adorable, cute, and innocent. He knew that a playboy like him can't say things he just thought, but even he knew, he still couldn't stop himself, because the girl in the photo was going to get complimented without her knowing, she looked fragile, not weak. He knew that his mere presence will make the angel in the photo turn into something else, but deep down he knew that, he could not resist, his stomach was churning in desire, he wanted to taste the innocence shown in the photo, he wanted to make her his, he wanted to have her, but deep down he also knew that these feelings towards someone will led to destruction. He knew that the girl is a precious gem, he wanted have this, because Xavier was greedy, he did not even himself know from where this sudden urge he developed from on a girl he saw in a photo He was brought back from fantasies and his wild thought of things he could do with her, by a throat clear. "Do you like her, isn't she beautiful?" the little Hailey asked her eyes filled with a thin layer of hope that what he heard from her mother and father would be accepted by Xavier too. To say she was beautiful, he will lie, she was beyond beautiful. Looking at the hoping eyes of Hailey Xavier nodded and said. "She is very beautiful." He could not even believe his own words. "Momma! Xavi liked her now they will be married and I will have her with me, we will play with my teddies, and she will read me stories to bed, she will? Right?" she exclaimed with joy and her small hands clapped together in joy. To say Xavier was confused, no he was taken back. He was taken aback by the exclamation his sister made. "What marriage, I am not going to marry anyone." Xavier stood up, his brows furrowed. Suddenly whimpering sound was heard in the room, Hailey started crying, and her mother cooed her. Xavier knew that if he gets not any appropriate reason yet now, he have to marry the girl. "Xavier, you are twenty five. You need to marry, beside this girl is a gem, a diamond, perfect for you." His mother said in a stern voice, leaving no room for further arguments, but Xavier he was too stubborn. "Mum, I am happy, I don't wanna marry a girl, whose even name I don't know." He hissed. "No, I know how happy your life is, it's time for you to settle, besides, she is the daughter of or you can say the only heir of Thompson and co." she said confidently. "Mum, don't tell me those cliché dramas like, when you were in college you made a vow to unite your children, and not the worst one that you did it for business." He growled at the foolish ways to unite the child of two companies he heard in many stories. "No, silly, her parents asked for your hand. Beside she is so pretty." His mother laughed, and waved him dismissively, earning a frown. "Wait who she is again?" he asked in confusion. "Amelia Thompson. The sole heir and one and only daughter of Jack Thompson. And again it is not any business deal." She laughed at the silly peeps of her son. "The one whom no one have ever seen." He asked. In pure horror, to be noted. "Yes-." He cut her in between. "Are trying to tie me to a psycho, is she mad, why is she never seen, although she is the daughter of the billionaire, and what are you trying to do mum." He stopped at the scene he saw, he saw his mother laugh like lunatic. "Oh, my boy. Firstly she was home-schooled, secondly she is not a psycho, just because she never showed herself up, doesn't mean she is ill. She is perfectly fine. And just things are simple Xavier, she don't want to show herself." His mother said while catching on her breathe, whereas Xavier sighed in relief. At least if he was going to marry her, she was not a psycho. "But still I don't want to marry. That's the end of the discussion." He said stubbornly and turned to look at the busy streets of NY, through the glass window. His mother sighed audibly, knowing the stubbornness of her child, she already knew if plan A doesn't work, she and her husband have to apply for plan B. "John." She called for her husband. Xavier gulped knowing that now, it was the end of discussion, despite the fact that how much his parents loved him and how much he love them, he know that stubbornness was something he inherited but his parents were just a step before him, he gulped visibly. The opened and a man in a formal suit entered and kissed the whimpering Hailey on cheek and cooed her. Xavier felt guilty to break the little girl's heart, but nonetheless this will save him, well that's what he thought. "Son, just read this file, will you?" His father said in a calm voice, Xavier nodded and turned and checked the file. He eyes widened in the fraction of second as soon as he read the main content. Looking at his horrified expression and his parents smirked in victory. Because they knew in the file, the content won't let them down. "You can't give my hard work in charity dad!" He yelled. The voice of the man suddenly became cold, and he said. "Try me son." He said again proving himself an epitome of calmness. Xavier was stunned and the main thing he knew was that neither his mum, nor his dad made hollow promises, ever. "Mary hand me the pen, will you honey?" his dad said in a sweet voice to his mother. "Sure!" she chirped. Looking at the situation confusingly, Hailey tilted her head to understand the gossip. But failed, so she did, what she always do, grab attention. She cried and tightened her hold onto her father's suit. In the meanwhile Mary had already passed the pen to John, but the crying Hailey stopped him to sign. "Daddy Xavi is not going to give me her? I won't talk to him, tell him. I will really not." She said while sobbing. Despite her bad phrasing of sentence, the words hit Xavier like a brick wall. Now he have two reasons to marry a stranger. 1. His sister is not going to talk to him, because she is just ahead of all, in stubbornness, ahead from his parents too. 2. His company will either go to charity, or will be kept by him; if he will marry. The decision was quick as his father's pen was about to touch the paper. "Fine. Fine I'll marry her." He said and sat down and raked a hand through his hair an old habit to show that he is exhausted. Deep down Xavier knew that the sudden urge will be accomplished after marriage, when he will get what he want, but what about after that, what he was going to do with his wife. He sure was not going to stick onto her, or is he? Who knows after all he is a playboy! Little did he know that the angel he wanted to taste is irresistible and a taste to which he will stick for his whole life. ***** ??
