Elouise’s POV The hallway was well lit from the exposed halogen bulbs dangling from the ceiling. The tiny box windows didn’t do much to provide any light since they sat two foot above very student’s head and had their blinds shut. The walls were made from exposed red brick stained with the smell of coffee and desperation. It’s Lucas’ scent that I focus on as I navigate the halls I’ve only just come to recognise. George and Jack can protect each other, Lucas is alone and therefore vulnerable. He needs me more. His scent leads me out of the building and eventually off campus.
