"Not so fast."
They turned to see Lucas standing in the doorway, a dark look in his eyes.
"What are you doing here?" Brianna demanded, her hand instinctively reaching for her powers.
Lucas stepped forward, his expression conflicted. "I came to warn you. The Obsidian Circle knows you're here. They're on their way."
Brianna's heart raced with fear. "We have to get the stone and get out of here."
But before they could make a move, the ground shook beneath them as a group of hooded figures entered the chamber, their eyes gleaming with malice.
"So, you found it," one of them said, his voice dripping with scorn.
Brianna stepped forward, her hands clenched into fists. "We won't let you take it."
The leader of the Obsidian Circle stepped forward, a cruel smile on his lips. "You don't have a choice. The stone belongs to us."
With a wave of his hand, he summoned dark energy, sending Brianna, Alex, Caleb, and Professor Morgan flying across the room.
As they struggled to regain their footing, the Obsidian Circle closed in, their dark magic crackling in the air.
"We have to fight back," Alex said, his voice strained.

Brianna's eyes widened in disbelief. "Why would you help us?"
Adrian's jaw clenched with determination. "Because they're not just after the stone. They're after you, Brianna."
Before Brianna could respond, a blast of dark energy sent Adrian sprawling to the ground.
The leader of the Obsidian Circle stepped forward, a cruel smile on his lips. "So, Adrian has finally shown his true colors. How disappointing."
Brianna's mind raced with fear and uncertainty. Could she trust Adrian, or was this just another trick?
