The Tree Spirits

The man smiled and said, “Welcome…to Nascentorium.” I looked at him in the eye and said, “You know...you haven’t even told me your name. You could have started with that.” The man grinned and nodded, “Oh yeah, I haven’t told you yet. Okay, here goes. My name is Nas.” Now I laughed. ‘You named your place after yourself? What does that even mean?” Nas slowly walked and dropped himself on a big red sofa, groaning. He inspected his open wound, which is now miraculously half gone. “My place has a strong healing aura, so I need to be back here. Thanks so much...unknown person.” I said, “I’m Ray. Now, Nas...could you...explain everything? Since I don’t know where to start asking you, too many things confused me.” I sat on the log bench across from him. Nas rubbed his wound with some ointment on the desk beside the sofa and closed his eyes. He slowly said, “I was doing an errand to fetch a thing, but unfortunately it was on someone else’s turf. His subordinates came after me and tried to take over the stuff, but I fought them. However, I was outnumbered and should have been dead, had the thing not helped me escape...” He stopped. “Oh right, the thing...” He inserted his hands into his coat and showed me the thing. It was a small, round, beautiful thing, almost transparent like water. “It’s a Glanna. It looks small, but it can enlarge itself and cover all the things, making them invisible. It helped me when I was attacked earlier, it gulped me down so those people couldn’t find me. It needs rest now.” He stood and bring the Glanna into a lotus plant in the pot and put it on the petals. The Glanna seems happy, it bounced up and down the flower before finally calmed down and stopped, seemingly sleeping. I’m just looking at Nas. He laughed and said, “Sorry, well..as you can see, this world is different from yours. Me, for example...I am a werewolf.” He slowly changed formed, into a beautiful arctic wolf. I was so impressed that I gaped. He then quickly changed back into his human form. He sat beside me at the log bench, and said, “And this place, Nascentorium...is the place where every living thing heals, grows, and reproduces. Well, at least I’m hoping so. I am on a mission to collect every mythical creature, the endangered ones, almost extinct species and helped them grow here. This is their safe haven. Would you like to look around?” He stood up and started to walk. “A lot of them are natural being, tree spirits. This storey is for them, that’s why there are so many plants here. But we have a place for other spirits on other storeys.” We walked into the beautiful, big ash tree in the middle of his arboretum. He touched the tree and gently called, “Meliae, come out.” A half-human body emerged from the tree, a woman with a beautiful face. “I was sleeping, Nasty.” She said to Nas, before looking at me. Nas said to her, “Meet my human guest, Ray.” She nodded to me, before saying to Nas, “You’ve been gone for quite some time. Ta-khian and Tani have been looking for you. Go there so they won’t bug me anymore.” before disappearing back into the trunk. Nas sighed, and gesturing to me to come deeper into the arboretum. “Don’t mind Meliae, that was her on neutral mood. Actually, I brought you to her so she won’t get angry at me for leaving for a long time.” Nas laughed. I looked around and saw so many fruit trees, it seems like we’re entering the tropical plants' area. Suddenly Nas, who walked in front of me stopped. Two young girls, one with green skin and one with reddish-brown skin, stood in front of him. They looked angry, their scary face contorted in rage. I stepped back in fear. They came forward, charging at Nas and me, screaming...”HOW DARE YOU!!!!!!”
