In nightshade pack, I get to do countless things that I wasn’t even allowed to do in my father’s weyr, for instance, I don’t have to wear those itchy pins in my hair anymore nor do I have to wear those gowns that my mother forces me to wear.
Here in Nightshade pack, there’s this freedom that I have never dreamt of having. At first my parents were reluctant to let me go but I told them that I was going with Irene and Enrique so I could convince him to marry me, which of course, I wouldn’t be doing.
I think my father is desperate to have Enrique as his son-in-law, and I still don’t know why. Sooner or later, I will have to return back to the weyr, but for now, I am going to stick around and see what I can discover about myself.
