Chapter 12: An Intruder at the Pack Border

As discussed the previous night, Suzan had promised me to go shopping for the wedding dress, I was waiting for her.

Beta David along with Suzan arrived in their vehicle, Beta David was kind enough to drop us at our destined shopping centre, which was quite far away from the packhouse.

I thanked him and was about to get inside the shopping mall, Suzan kissed him lightly on his cheeks and said Bye.

The way they both were looking at each other, they were so much in love. I wish I could have such love one day in my life too; which reminded me of Richard.

I brushed off my thoughts when Suzan pulled my hands and dragged me into the mall.

We started with clothes for daily use, then occasional, then for the ceremonies and it appears to be the list doesn’t end. When I tried to pay at the shops, Suzan stopped me saying there is no need of that as Tristan owns the mall. I spot a children store, so decided to get some toys for Lilly and John of course.

By noon, we were only half done, we had a quick lunch in cafeteria; Suzan was a wonderful company to keep, a little talkative and emotional but I was starting to feel that this new friendship can last long

I yet had to try wedding dresses; As we entered the store, it gave the impression of a never-ending ocean of beautiful white dresses.

 As I started trying out these dresses, the Alpha Tristan’s words of last night repeated in my head “This is not your Fancy Dream Wedding”.

I decided to stay close to reality and choose a simple yet elegant white gown. Were as Suzan had completely different idea about the wedding dress. She chooses a low neck and high slit gown and asked me to try it.

No no no-no. I am sure Alpha Tristan won't like it. It was showing too much skin for my own choice of clothes either.

He will love it. He will not be able to take eyes off you the entire time. She tried to convince me. Just try it once, please.

“No harm in trying it once at least ” a voice said. I turned around to find the origin of this voice. But there was no one around. So I decided to give it a try at least.

Once I was out of the trail room and in front of the mirror, the image looked so different that I could not recognise myself.

“Look how beautiful you look in this dress. Why don’t we take this; let me find a veil for this one” Suzan said

Still not convinced about the dress, I was scrutinizing the smoothness of the silk cloth and the lacework on it.

That’s when I heard the loudest and the most painful howl. It didn’t take me long to recognise who it was. It was very clear that Richard was here and he was in pain.

Voice returned again “Don’t Go”

Ignoring the voice and Suzan there, I started running towards the sound.

It took me a while to figure out the route and reach the sound. It was him; he was there.

He was surrounded by pack warriors, who were in Black; who were beating him black and blue. My heart almost skipped a beat when I saw him covered in blood.

“Stop it” I screamed to the top of my voice. Suddenly all heads turned towards me.

“Mia; Did you get married already??” he asked

I did not realise I was in the wedding dress until I was asked this question. “I am getting married tomorrow”

One of the pack warriors understood who I was with the above context and asked me to leave.

I turned towards him angrily “What makes you think I will take orders from you?”

He moved away. “Untie him, I want to talk to him”, I said.

None of them, willing to do so moved farther a step back.

I untied Richard myself.

“We can leave now Mia, Please come with me,” he said, “You know I can’t live without you”.

He hugged me so tightly that I couldn’t breathe; I started sobbing in his arms.

“I am so sorry, I am sorry” was all that I could tell

Voice in my head returned again “Don’t Go, We don’t belong with him”

I was in the meeting along with uncle Trevor and my Beta David, when I got the message via mind link from one of my pack warriors who were patrolling the borders

“Alpha there is an intruder at the pack border, Mia Wright is along with him”. “He is asking her to leave with him” we are waiting for your further orders

 My blood started to boil “Leave with him”. I couldn’t believe she wanted to run away a day before our wedding with her lover boy.

Xavier said, “She is not leaving Us, Never”.

I sent a message via the mind link “Detain them there, I am on my way”

I left the hall saying “This meeting is over”.

David with a puzzled look started following me and got into my car along with me “Ask Suzan, where is Mia”

I fraction of second he got a reply from his mate “She says she can't find her from past 45 min.”

“What’s going on?” He asks me

“Tell Suzan to complete shopping for all the ceremonies and go back home safely. We have an intruder at the border to deal with” I say

It took painful long minutes to reach the pack borders. It was my mistake to trust her and let her go shopping “How could I have been so stupid” Maybe she has been planning this from the beginning.

I ask David to check on Tyler and Victoria through the private investigator we planted there.

He also replied in a fraction of seconds that they are at their respective homes, last seen just a few minutes ago.

As we reached pack borders; The sight in front of my eyes was so infuriating. Mia was in his arms, talking to him, holding his face. To my utter shock, she was in such a revealing wedding dress.

“Did she plan on running away with him like this? ” was she trying to seduce him?

Xavier was fighting to take control. He wanted to kill that male wolf and shred him to pieces.

All I knew about Richard was that he was Alpha Blake Klondike’s only Son. Xavier said, “That is not a good enough reason to NOT kill him”.

I went up to them, holding her hair, I rip her off away from him. She falls away on the ground.

Richard screams “Don’t touch her”. That makes me even angrier.

“Oh no, I was planning on killing you,” I say and start punching him. To my surprise, he was stronger than I had thought; still not difficult.

I got him down on his knees in a couple of minutes. Still debating on the consequences of killing him in my head. That’s when Mia screams sobbing “Please Please Please, Don’t kill him, I will do anything you say; just let him go”

This brings back the same scene that happened with Rose. “This can't be happening again with me,” I say to myself

“You are willing to die for him, why? ” I ask releasing my grip on him and moving closer to her.

“Because she loves me, you d**k head” growls Richard standing up. One of my pack warriors knocks him down on to his knees again.

“I this what you wanted to do?” Runaway from me, with him? wearing these clothes

I move even closer to her, holding her, touching her exposed breasts and running my fingers on her neck.

A shiver of shame and fear run through her, lowering her eyes she says “Please Alpha, let him go, I don’t want him to get hurt”.

I turn towards the pack warriors, take him away. Don’t kill him just yet.

I look at Mia, who gives a puzzled look. I see the colour of her eyes change to orange, red, pink; something like fire.

Out of nowhere suddenly Xavier takes control and marks her. She releases a loud shriek of pain and faints in my arms.
