Chapter 4: The first Awkward Meeting

I hear a loud banging; Victoria is at the door continuously sobbing as if it was the end of her world. Listening to her voice Tyler rushes out. She hugs him so tightly as if she is going to die.

Sobbing continuously, she is still unable to speak. Tyler carries her inside the house to his room and gives her a glass of water to drink. The tells him that her father has agreed to the alliance of an Alpha of Siver Moon Pack as recommended by the Elders Council. She tried to tell him about finding her mate but was not given a single chance to speak and was told the wedding will happen with or without her consent by her own father.

She started crying again so loudly she finally told that the Alpha is coming to meet her today.

I could see the pain in Tyler's eyes, he did not want to lose his mate like this especially when they were so much in love with each other. Understanding that they needed privacy with each other, I step back.

Tyler and Victoria have been my strength during my tough times now I only wish I could solve their problem.

The doorbell brings me back to this world and I open it wondering what is it this time. As I open the door I see the most handsome face I have ever seen. How can anyone look so breathtakingly attractive?

I am even supposed to feel like this when I am with another male. He just keeps staring at me; his eyes locked on mine. Wow, I feel like his eyes are changing colours. 

I wonder what is taking him so long to talk.

It can’t be happening. Why? Why now??

Xavier has gone crazy with happiness, just her scent caught him off guard and he is continuously dancing and screaming in my head MATE, MATE, MATE, MATE, MATE it’s just too much noise to take in. and again I have never seen my wolf this happy before. Last time he was happy when we got little Lilly home which was almost years ago.

Is this what mate bond supposed to feel like, it’s like too many mixed emotions hitting me at the same time. My heart is thumping so loudly. She seems to be the most beautiful person I have ever seen. I just can’t take my eyes off her. She seems to be so young and naïve. All I can think about is those lips of hers.

She was the first to break the silence

“Excuse me??” Mia spoke out.

Then it occurred to him that she was not affected by the mate bond. “How can she not recognise that I am her MATE”.

 He moved closer to take her scent in again confirmed that it’s definitely his mate.

Xavier was continuously fighting for control, all he wanted was to claim her.

Can’t you see that she doesn’t recognise us as her MATE? I screamed out at him in my head. Well at least hoping that it would get me some silence to think clearly. Xavier went absolutely quite well it was difficult to say if he was thinking deeply or suddenly scared of losing her.

“Excuse me, who are you and why are you here” Mia spoke out again sounding annoyed?

This brought back Tristan to reality. Instead of answering her question, he asked her Who are you?

Mia snapped back “I am Mia Wright, now if you can please tell me why you are here I have better things to do than stand at the door all day.”

Tristan knew that this household belonged to the Beta of the pack Mr and Mrs Jack Clayton who lived with their pack- know that his future wife spent a lot of time here, he was curious to learn about their son Tyler Clayton but now knowing that his mate was also in the same household was only driving him to the edge.

Instead of asking more questions he only gave a statement saying “I am here to meet Victoria Radolf” I want to meet her now.

She looked like she was about to lash out at him but still, her voice was very calm as if she has got the situation under control “So you are the reason that has thrown her into fits of sobbing. I don’t think that she would like to meet you at least now is not the right time”.

But now all the curiosity Tristan had was only turned towards Mia. He wanted to know what a wright is doing in the Clayton Household.

He walked in through the door taking a seat at the sofa in the living room, making himself comfortable he said: “then I shall wait for the right time”.

Xavier got back his composure and spoke out “ask her if she has a MATE, ask her if she is in a relationship with this Tyler”. Just the thought was making him angry.

She followed me to the sofa, trying to convince me to leave; I tell her that I am not interested in talking to her and will only talk to Victoria. Not able to hold the curiosity any longer I asked her- “Are you Tyler’s girlfriend ??”

She snaps quickly “No, what makes to say that??” He is my cousin.

 she leaves telling “She will find Victoria for me”

Xavier was relieved so much that he wanted to Jump for Joy.

As she moves in the house further to open a door, an obnoxious scent of s*x hits the air, and I get up from my seat. Mia is taken aback and closes the door quickly mentally cursing herself. Her face is so easy to r******w she is scared that I will walk-in on her dear friend having s*x with another wolf when she was supposed to meet me. Little does she know that Alphas have heightened senses that make them different from others.

Suddenly she walks into the kitchen coming back with a drink for me.

Xavier chuckles and says “the current scenario clearly wipes out option 2. We are definitely not marrying Victoria.”  

As Mia moves closer, he scent again drawing me away from my train of thoughts. All I can think about are her lips and how smooth her skin would feel to touch; she walks even closer as if she is having similar thoughts maybe even wild. Our eyes are locked; suddenly I lose control I pull her into a deep kiss, and she immediately responds melting in my arms which feels so right and divine surprisingly she kisses me back.

Abruptly the door opens and another wolf is standing at the door who looks angry as hell, Mia instantly moves away from me with immense guilt all over her face running after him.
