Chapter 13: The Wedding

Tristan

David came running towards us, listening to Mia scream; concern filled in his eyes. “What have you done?” he says

we drive back to the packhouse in silence, Mia lying in my arms.

“This shouldn’t have been this way, Xavier,” I said to Xavier, who has gone absolutely silent since the incident.

  “I just wanted to stop her from leaving with him.” He said so quietly as if he himself was hurt.

Holding Mia so close in my arms, taking her scent in; I was confused with my own feeling. Why was I so angry? Why didn’t I just f*****g kill that lover boy? All that I wanted to do was hold her close in my arms and run my fingers in her hair.

The mark on her neck has stopped bleeding and started to heal.

It’s been 6 hours since everyone reached back to the packhouse. Mia was still unconscious lying on the bed. David and Suzan have been along all the while to take care of Mia. I was only getting restless with each passing moment anxious thoughts running in my mind. “What if she doesn’t wake up in time for the wedding ceremony ?”

 “Why is the pack doctor still not here?” I screamed.

The pack doctor arrived in a few minutes; As he was directed into her room. Krystal walked in “The guests have started to arrive, Tristan, they are asking for you and your bride”.

With worried eyes she walks even closer to me, putting her hands on my shoulder “Are you alright Tristan, I am surprised you marked her so early”

Krystal says “In all these years, we were together and suddenly you are willing to take her as your mate and wife. You know I can make the confusion and pain go away in a minute. Even if you ask me now to marry you. You know, I will say yes”.

“You know I would even kill or die for you” she whispered in my ears.

Even before I answer Krystal the door opens and the doctor walks out “Mia is fine Alpha, all she needs is some rest, she can wake up anytime now.”

Suzan and David were eyeing how close Krystal and I were standing next to each other.

I thank the doctor; I ask Suzan to take care of Mia and inform me as soon as she wakes up.

I ask David and Krystal to take care of the guests who are arriving and announce that I am going back to my office.

“I hope I am making the right decision about this marriage,” I say to myself.

Mia Wright

The voice in my head gets louder and louder as if someone is calling out my name.

As I realise it's my wolf, “My name is Aria” the voice is back again.

Still unable to open my eyes and move “What happened to me?”

Our mate marked us and you lost consciousness a while ago

“MARKED??? How can he mark me without my permission” Anger starts rising inside me.

Aria chirps in “I just too glad that we found a mate and getting married to him today.”

Wait “TODAY?”

The series of events came back to my mind “The wedding is today”

“It's my 18th Birthday, I wish my parents were with me.” Tears start rolling down my cheeks.

“I wish I had my friends along with me”

 “I hope Richard is fine”

Aria keeps on repeating again and again “Mia, You need to wake up; the wedding ceremony will take place in an hour”

As I open my eyes, I see Suzan sitting at the bed and watching over me anxiously.

She sighs “Oh Thank Moon Goddess that you are finally awake.”

“You need to get ready, Mia”

We can still be on time. She brings forward a beautiful white gown.

Aria is too much excited to meet her mate.

The Wedding Venue.

The entire hall was beautifully decorated, filled with guests, distinguished elders and alphas and Lunas of the neighbouring pack.

Everyone was waiting for the ceremony to start

“You look too nervous, are you alright?” David asks

“I have never seen you like this, not when the pack was attacked or even when Rose left”

“I am fine David” Suzan has informed me that Mia woke up and will be down in some time” Tristan growls

David smiling his cheeks wide says “Yes Alpha, Suzan said they will be down in a few minutes”.

As the ceremony was about to start Tristan notices Richard in the wedding hall.

“What the hell is he doing here? ” Tristan asks David.

“We tried to stop him, He has the invite to the wedding, He is along with Alpha and Luna of Moonlight pack as a family member”                                                                          

“That is no reason David,” Tristan says angrily        

David apologies and says “Alpha, I just did not want any scene at the wedding venue, in front of all the guests; so let him in”                                                                                          

“Get four-pack warriors after him, I want him out of my sight as soon as possible” Tristan says.

As the ceremony starts and the little Lilly walks in holding the basket of flowers.

Everybody’s attention is now to the bride.

The moment Tristan lays his eyes on Mia, He couldn’t turn away.

“She looked so magnificently beautiful as his bride.” It made him wonder “Was she this beautiful last time I saw her?” She looked like a creature landed directly from Heaven, such as perfect features, skin, hair.

“She was the most beautiful bride he had ever seen”.

Tristan “As the walks closer, I observe her eyes are fixed on mine and her scent has the most soothing effect on me”.

“She has found her wolf, I can feel her through the mate bond; she now knows we are her mate” Xavier adds           

Her eyes fixed on mine, she stumbles upon a step, Richard gets up from his seat and runs towards her

Suddenly Elder Rollins stops him.

He holds Mia’s hand “Let me have the honour of walking the bride down the aisle,” he says.

Mia looks at Richard and then looks at me “Surprised that Richard was allowed in the wedding venue”

Mia hugs him “Thank you, I really miss my father. I wish he was here” she says.

Don’t cry dear “His blessings are always with you” Elder Rollins walks with Mia.

The moment Mia was standing in front of me, she looked me in the eyes. Her eyes changing colour as if her wolf was dominating to take control. I could only feel the emotional roller coaster that she is feeling through our mate bond.

As the ceremony completed and the announcement made as “I now pronounce you as Man and Wife, You may now kiss the bride” the feelings as if I had won a thousand battles rushed towards me. “She is Mine now and forever”

Mia

The moment I was standing before him, Aria was screaming in my head “This is where we belong”.

I have never felt so attracted to anyone in my whole life. I look so handsome in this suit, his rough beard and firm jawline. I just wanted to run my hand over them. His scent of mint was so intoxicating.

I found my wolf, my mate and my mate wants me to be his wife and Luna. What else could I ask more for?

“Love” Aria answers in my head. “Love will put everything in its place.”

Tristan

I slowly held Mia by her waist and gave a small peck on her forehead, I could see the colour of the mark on her neck changing as if it was on fire. “How is it possible?” is it still hurting her. The look on her face says that she is in pain.                  

As we walk down, everyone starts congratulating us.

Alpha Rollins walks towards us and yells “Why on earth are you holding a bunch of Roses?” It was a beautiful bouquet of white and pink roses.

That is when I notice her hands which have started blister and rupture, they were bleeding.

Richard was first to act and he pulled away from the roses “She is allergic to Roses, I am sure the Alpha Tristan is not aware of it.”

Elder Rollin adds “Just like her mother, Mia must also be allergic to Roses, but I presumed Alpha Tristan is taking good care of Mia.”

Richard, you got the bouquet from the bride's hand “I am not surprised if the next wedding we will be attending is yours” Alpha Rollins says

Richard looks at Mia and says “I am not so sure I will get married any time soon”

Alpha Tristan “Please excuse us, I have to attend to my bride”. David, please call the pack doctor.I direct Mia towards the corner room

As the doctor does the dressing of the wound on her hands, Tristan is standing at the corner of the room and observing Mia.

Xavier says “we should have just listened to her that evening, We should not have her walk down the aisle alone”.

Well, I was thinking, she is so fragile "If a rose can do so much damage to her, what would wolfsbane or silver do to her?"  She will always be a liability or a burden to carry along

As the doctor leaves the room, I thank him and walk closer to Mia. Unable to control my desires over her

I hug her tightly and kiss her on the mark on her neck. To my surprise, she responds just melting in my arms and releases a soft moan. I can feel her heart beating a drum roll. The feeling of touching her, her skin feels so magical and then she says, Richard.

Anger starts boiling in me I look at her and say “How dare you to take another male's name when you are in my arms.”

“HOW DARE YOU” I hold her hands so tight not realising I was hurting her.

“You are hurting me, Alpha; please let me go”. Sobbing in pain  Mia pleads

 I look down at her hands which have started bleeding over her bandage. Unable to vent out my anger “I punch out at the wall behind her”
