Natasha's POV
It's been 15 minutes of dead silence after Valerian said what he said.
I'm not naïve, I know exactly what he meant by that phrase he just said to me and I don't know what to respond. s**t, I can't even formulate a single word.
And the worst part is that I don't know why I'm the one who is embarrassed. I can feel how hot my cheeks feel right now and how my heart is beating really fast in my chest.
Valerian on the other hand didn't say anything anymore after that. He went back to work-- typing something on his laptop.
Maybe he's really busy because seems like he put away the thought of him punishing me for disobeying what he said and he just continued to work.
Valerian already has all this grand wealth and yet he is still this hardworking.
